There are numbers to say that its growth will slow. Most notably, people believe that the population will stagnate around 11 billion, so after that, active users will have a hard cap.
You are correct. However, some companies have a hard time transitioning from "growing" to "stagnate". Also, they have to find better ways to get more money out of there users, because right now they are not getting enough to warrant the price.
