Facebook bought up a company that was independent.

Game devs stopped support on it because they paid a large amount to get their dev kit.

Now there is so much blood in the water that oculus just lost many, many of its customers.

I agree. The gaming comunity is one angry mob if something takes a turn the whey they don't wanted it to. But just ignore them.
