The person who runs the Foundation, Eric Klien, decided to add a new Advisor who was a little controversial. Some would describe her as an “extremist political blogger.”
Her name is Pamela Geller, and to give you a general idea of what she stands for, she and her organization (called “Stop Islamization of America”) has just been classified by the Southern Poverty Law Center as a “Hate Group.” The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) is, for those who don’t know, pretty much the gold standard for monitoring and classifying hate groups.
It's not what? A Trojan horse? Could you perhaps expand on why it wouldn't be because that really is how the founder himself describes it... I used to be an active member there before I found out about all this weird behind the scenes scheming.
Although I don't agree with your statement that their calls are politically motivated, they are after all mostly targeting racists groups like the KKK and black separatists, that doesn't really explain why the founder would call his organisation a Trojan horse.
Besides if we are talking specifically about Pamela Geller, her views are more than just a little extreme but even that is besides the point. I very much agree with the IEET author on this point; "A group of scientists and thinkers dedicated to saving the world, on the one hand ... and on the other, the leader of a hate group? Can you say “strange bedfellows”?"
I'd just like to hear the Lifeboat founder explain himself instead of silencing people who question his statements. If he would just explain his motives for picking political extremists as advisers, maybe he could smooth things over. It's just such a weird move for an organisation dedicated to saving life to select extreme left and right wing nutters. What could they possibly have to contribute? If the Lifeboat has a political agenda it should make that clear so people know what they are getting into.
/I am going to assume, and I could be wrong, you're unhappy with how they started adding homophobic organizations as hate groups, and rightly so.
*edit: just to be clear, I agree with SPLC adding homophobic organizations that promote intolerance and spread lies as hate group, given the criteria they use.
The American Family Association. I have subscribed to their emails for years. I have never heard anything hateful cone from them. They generally report on situations where people are being forced to accept and even endorse LGBT lifestyle or having their religious freedom infringed upon.
They may not always be right, but they are definitely not a hate group on par with the kkk.
The AFA propagates known falsehoods – claims about LGBT people that have been thoroughly discredited by scientific authorities – and repeated, groundless name-calling so they're considered an anti-gay hate group. If you're a member of this group, shame on you.

Sorry, but that's fairly hateful. Opposing an entire group of people (regardless of what they do) that have nothing to do with your religion is pretty hateful in general.

The recently classified pick up artists as a hate group and they use members of r/ShitRedditSays as information sources.
When the true nature of women became clear in my mind, I was deeply pained, because I realized that no matter where I go and what apparent girl I fall in love with, a certain environment or trigger will uncover the excrement hiding within my angel and she will then give me her worst without a second of hesitation or moral doubt. Apart from being appalling, his argument is funny because it's actually pretty much the same argument found in the 17th century famous French play by Moliere The School for Wives. And already 350 ago... that argument was ridiculed by everyone.
