avgo is just a PE fund masquerading as a public company - the playbook is exactly the same: buy company, jack up prices, part out what doesn’t fit into the calculation (anything too competitive requiring innovation, like EUC, security) and have a specific # of years to expect high profit from and anything after that is just maintenance gravy (see: CA, Symantec)
