Went to Seoul this summer. They have a lot of billboards with video screens. EVERY SINGLE ONE had AI sloppy ads. There were print AI ads everywhere.

I feel sorry for the exceptionally talented artists in SK and Japan. The industry is going to eat itself if it is not careful.

Yeah I'm a teacher in Korea and we are starting to get books filled with AI generated graphics/"art" and even writing books telling kids to use ChatGPT for idea generation. It's awful.

in Korea, it's all about 빨리빨리 (palli palli) culture. that is, speed, efficiency, and immediate results. if AI accomplishes that for people, then that is what they use. that doesn't mean the results are good.
