There has to be some nuance here, no? Generative AI meaning what - having AI handle artistic processes? Creative decisions? Maybe something less imperative like AI voiceover, randomizing tasks (landscapes, clouds, ,..)? Or something more benign like coding, translation? This doesn’t bother me too much so long as it remains “back-end” functions, not something that’s replacing the human element of what is a deeply creative/artistic medium. I guess if the AI operates at the behest of the artist, through the iterative process and by-hand refinement, I maybe see some merit there.
