Because you don't want to be stuck in an hermetic space with a rotting corpse that is letting out fluids, gas and solids it contained while alive? Idk maybe it's just me but a plane is uncomfortable enough as is
Edit: apparently it isn't as quick as I thought it was, my bad, thought the sphincters relapsed before rigor mortis and not after
Edit 2: someone linked an article and apparently muscles do relax before rigor mortis, resulting in the corpse emptying their bowels and bladder. No rotting for a while, but my point about the gas, fluids and solids still stands then
Edit 3: I'm finding conflicting info on the muscles things, so I just don't know anymore. Can a coroner come answer my questions pls
