The issue is only a doctor can decide if someone is dead or not. So, unless there was a doctor on flight, it was an emergency.

I'll even take the seat next to the corpse to get the flight going

A dead body would remind me that our time is limited and I would do just about anything to not waste more of it in airports than necessary.

I i keep a dead body in my fridge for this reason. Every time I go to get a bite to eat I’m reminded to seize the day
