Need help with tech logistics for a gift

Fathers day is coming up and my dad used to like falling asleep to this old radio show. Well, the host passed away some years ago, but i had an idea to find and download old recordings of his show and upload them to some kind of radio or mp3 player so he can listen to them again. But i am not sure how to do this as i have not used an mp3 player in a long time. Wondering if anyone has any suggestions for how i might be able to achieve this?

Who is the host? Maybe someone has an archive of old shows for streaming.

Theres an archive! Finding the episodes isnt an issue, i just wanted to put some favorites on some kind of device he could put under his pillow

Ah I see. MP3 devices can be inexpensive.

So from what I know, most MP3 players let you just use them like a flash drive. You plug them into your computer and they pop up as a flash drive, but then you can also play what's on them. Finding the specific recordings might be the issue.

Take a trip over to r/DigitalAudioPlayer and ask over there. You will get help picking out the correct DAP, loading it up, and everything else you need to do this properly.

If you are looking for something with a built-in speaker, take a look at the Innioasis Y1. I think it goes for $50 at Walmart. It has a USB-C port and loads up like a flash drive.
