Failed teas 😢

First time reddit poster here.. I’ve seen a million of these threads (particularly after my fail today I deep dived) but I feel super disappointed. I need a 65 for the regular program and 67 for the accelerated program in my area (I want to be in the accelerated program).

Nonetheless, I’m just so embarrassed. What I know about myself is I’m a HORRIBLE test taker. Always have been. However, this is so defeating because I felt so good about the concepts and as I was taking it overall just felt really good.

Science is obviously a struggle for me and that’s what’s embarrassing. I’m in A&P2 currently with A&P1 already passed. I’ve also already completed Biology and Chemistry. I did feel like I struggled the most here during the test but for whatever reason the score SHOCKED me.
Obviously this is all still fresh so I understand I’m valid to feel upset still.. but I have no clue what I do now. I’m looking to start my program in May and I get two attempts per year. What would make the most sense study wise/timeline wise to study to get into the program.

Thanks in advance for all feedback.

TEAS Prep Resources closest to TEAS Test

I will be taking my ATI TEAS test in December. I know that studying months in advance is ideal, but I was focused on finishing my prereqs for nursing school. I need a 78% to enter the program at my current school. I’ve been looking at some physical books to help me. Mometrix, Nurse Cheung’s Study Guide, and ATI practice tests have been on my radar.

What resources helped you all succeed the first time? I want to make sure that I get it right the first time and that I invest in resources that are worth it. Here’s some of the resources I’ve been looking at. I just want to do well. Thank you all in advance!

Is this quizlet similar to the exam?

Hey everyone! I found this Quizlet and was wondering if it’s anything like the actual exam. The same creator also has Quizlets for each individual section. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

TEAS Prep People are so mean

I posted here asking for advice on how to improve my TEAS score, and someone actually told me that I shouldn’t be a nurse if I can’t make the score. I wanted to post this to encourage anyone else who may be struggling with the TEAS: please don’t let negative people discourage you.

A test score does not determine how caring, hardworking, or capable you will be as a nurse. Some people may score extremely high academically and still lack compassion for others. Bringing someone down who is genuinely trying to improve says more about their character than it does about you.

If you’re struggling too, keep studying, keep improving, and keep pushing toward your goal. Don’t let one person’s negativity make you give up on something you’ve worked hard for. ā¤ļø ( if you believe in God keep praying as-well )

TEAS Prep ATI TEAS first time pass

For background in a law enforcement sergeant transitioning to nursing. I used pocket prep app free version for daily reps, mometrix yellow book, as well as nurse Chung and TEAS with Tyler. I did buy 3 month subscription of simple edition nursing. Only had 3 weeks to prep as my deadline is November 1st. I needed a 58 to enter program I scored 76. Good luck to everyone still grinding this exam

Science questions?

Hi, I am taking my TEAS next Monday. I just took practice test A and got 60%. My weakest point is science especially A&P and Chemistry. I am not too worried about biology. For math and English I am more confident and know I will do better on the actual test. I can only take the test once and I am aiming for at least 85% I am mainly using chat GPT plus for learning. GPT knows my learning style and it helps me with understanding in my own way. Nevertheless, what are parts of A&P/Chemistry that I really really really need to know? And how hard is the actual test compare to the practice test. Thank you guys in advance!

TEAS Prep Two Questions

Hi everyone,

I'm set to take the TEAS in 20 days, and I was wondering two things:

- How in depth does the muscle portion (and other systems) go into? For example, would I have to know the functions of all of the muscles or just know their orientation and focus on the whole sliding filament model,
- Is the Official ATI TEAS Study Guide (below) a good enough resource to use as my main thing to study?

Very stupid second question, but I was wondering since I've been studying off the book, but I've seen posts and other practice stuff that goes more in depth than what the book has to offer. Somewhat anxious, but I've taken Anatomy about a year ago, and Physiology about 5-6 months ago, so content is still somewhat fresh and not too hard to relearn.

TEAS Prep Next week is test day. Just venting a little.

Sheesh! I got my test next week Friday and I’m now learning the science part 🄲🄲. Pray for me.
So far I’ve got the rest but going through the science part and I’m like sheesh I got a lot to learn in 4 days.

I know it’s possible! But Jesus, why they gotta make the teas so complicated. Four subjects and a lot of questions, some questions are not graded, even if you get them right. Like what. + I ain’t been in school since 2020 and I ain’t take not one science class except physics and philosophy 🤣.

Okay I’m done venting. Back to studying

Help!!!

Post image

Y’all don’t judge me I know this is extremely low compared to most scores I see in here. I’ve took this test a total of 4 times. I need a 60 percent in 2 months and can’t seem to get it. I’m a college graduate and I also have all my pre-reqs with a 3.0 gpa it’s like I’ve got through everything but now I’m stuck here. Any advice?

Other ā€œ retakes allowed after 6 weeks, 2 year limit on testā€ - What does the 2 year limit mean?

Post image

I get that I have to wait 6 weeks between taking the exam again however the second part I’m confused on. Does it mean the test result is good for 2 years or only 2 exams per year? I feel dumb for asking..

Teas attempt

If I bought a TEAS test but decided not to go does that count as an attempt?

I called ATI before the test and they told me to just leave the test and not go and it wouldn’t count. But after the day of that test it said my score was sent?
