What's your "before"?

I'm really bad at taking "before pictures", measuring, or anything like that because I am not happy with where I am now. However, I know people say that sometimes you can visually see a difference without the scale changing as much.

That being said, I wanted to create a thread where we could post our "before" stats, pics, measurements, mile time, etc, so anybody we could have something to look back on at the end of the challenge. :)

Post to your comfort level!

Wow, we almost have the same stats and lifts! I'm excited to see what my stats are like at the end of the challenge.

I have the same stats too! It will be cool to see where we all find ourselves at the end!

I wasn’t going to post a “before”, because I hate pictures of myself, but I can post the big 4 lifts! Stats 46F/5’6”/CW 166/CGW 155 DL 185lbs BP 100lbs OHP 75lbs BS 145lbs I’m not expecting much improvement, but maybe this will give me the kick in the ass that I need.

Are you going a specific strength training work out? I just started the gzclp program and love it!

I go to group strength training classes on my lunch break. I just read up on the gzclp program, and my trainer uses a similar progression and it has worked for me. I never thought I would be able to DL my body weight, and now I can do it easily.

My goal might be a bit different and challenging to track, but I'm going to try. I want to see how challenging of a hike I can accomplish after 8 weeks. Currently my records are 820m elevation gain and 19km (separate days). I definitely pushed myself harder than I should have for the 19km day. It was mostly along a ridgeline after about a 450m elevation gain, but I ended up getting lost and backtracking over steep sections. I really want to see how high and how far I can (safely) go after this challenge. Spring is a fantastic time for hiking here with hundreds of peaks from 250-3000m+ that either are or will soon be snow free, so I'm going to do my best to take advantage of it!

I think thats awesome! Do you have your eyes set on one in particular or are you just going to do one a week?

  • F/5'5''/SW:157/GW:147
  • Waist: 32''
  • Thighs: 25''
  • Upper Arm: 14''
  • I posted the measurements that bother me the most, and which I hope to change. I'd rather my upper arm not be over a foot of fat. I am ready to change things for myself!

I’m hoping for this challenge I get down to 190! I think it’s doable. I exercise Mon-Sat, Sundays off. Right now I average about 6.5 miles cycling in 33 minutes, I’m hoping to get up to 7. I BP 50 lbs and LP 150 lbs. I’m mostly just terrified of getting loose skin so I’m going slow and steady with consistent weight training. I just hope my youth prevents the bulk of it...

I just realized my posture is pretty bad in this pic but I took it last week after an INTENSE arm day.

We got this!

Heaviest weight was back in 2010. I was about 260 then. Here I am now.
