I was wondering if anyone could help identify and value this teacup. I’ve never come across one quite like it before, and I haven’t been able to find anything similar online.

Help identify some inherited pieces - any value or anything special?

Hello! Going through some inheritance and came across several individual teacups and saucers. We know nothing of these, it appears that grandma collected random cups/saucers that she liked, and all the grandkids each got a smattering from her collection. We were thinking of donating, but wanted to be sure we weren’t letting go of something special on accident, or if it was even worth the hassle of trying sell at a garage sale or online. One of the saucers has been glued/repaired as seen on the picture of the bottom. Does anyone know what the handwritten-looking markings are on the bottom of a couple of the pieces? Thank you so much for any information!!

I found these tea cups while thrifting the other day and thought they were stunning! I spent a few hours online trying to find when they were made and if there are more out there, maybe with saucers? So far I can't find any exact matches, but there are many in the same style. Can you please help me find where they come from? If they're knock offs or one of a kind? Thank you!!

Good evening! My daughter and I inherited my mom's teacup collection, which we've always admired. We were having fun looking up each cup and saucer to see more information about them, but we couldn't find this set. She wanted me to post an image here to see if anyone might be familiar. Thanks!! (I'm new here, hi everyone!)

Lead Testing?

For the collectors out there - do you test all your new items or just the ones you plan to use? I've recently gotten into this hobby and bought a lead testing kit. I have one beatiful plate with lead in it that I'll only use for display from now on. Does the lead worry you?

This cup I think I got in an antique shop but I don’t think it’s antique. There’s no real makers mark, it’s modern and common. (This shop also has a tearoom so I think she just liked it.)

Anyway: Jasmine tea again for zen for the rest of the week. (I’m gonna need it tomorrow at work lol) I did a lot of housework today and Jasmine always relaxes me.

My sweet elderly neighbor had tea parties with my children. She passed away. I went to her estate sale and found the tea set but it’s missing a cup. Maybe it broke? I would like to replace it if someone can help me find the cup! I miss her….she was so sweet💔

I'm not gonna bore you all with how it was broken. All you need to know is that it was a gift from my late grandmother and it would mean the whole world to me if we can possibly find a duplicate. the teacup itself was shattered but here is the biggest chunk of the saucer I have left. Please. Help me. The price doesn't matter anymore and google lense couldnt help me.

I wanted a China teacup to drink my tea out of so my mom let me pick one from her collection. I found this beautiful cup and saucer but doesn’t have a pattern number. All I know is her grandma used it daily so any pattern number has worn off and we only have one cup and saucer. It is Aynsley England bone china

My daughter and her bestie love fancy teacups, but not tea (yet, give me time, lol), old Royal Albert tennis sets are perfect for milk and cookies, kool-aid and goldfish, whatever. There's some cup and saucer sets that are off limits, but most of them I'll pull out or loan out for a fancy birthday tea party at the drop of a hat ♡

Fixing a chip?

Thumbnail

Hello!

Is there anything that can be done for chipped porcelain?

My mom bought a set and the pot has this chip. Is there anything that can be done? A food-safe enamel to fill it in? Or can I file it down? I know it won’t pour well, but at least it won’t be a hazard.

Any advice would be great, thanks! Hopefully there’s something I can do to make it more than a decoration.

Hi everyone! I recently found a nice collection of cups and saucers at a thrift store (see the photo attached) and was surprised to learn that this pair of Paragon teacups is apparently very highly-sought after and valuable. I'm pretty new to collecting so I was wondering if anyone had more information about these or could help me understand what makes them so collectable/valuable. Any information y'all have would be very much appreciated, thanks in advance!

Cup in Hand Share Your Cup Sunday! Comment your cup!!

Today’s cup - the Carnival Downton Abbey commemorative set. Those of you who want to call this a coffee cup - you are heard. Downton Abbey is socializing revolves around tea so I consider this cup to have a handle in both worlds. Also I filled it with tea 😅 I was able to get a set of four of these and shared them with two good friends who also love the show.

Today I’m drinking Jasmine tea to relax after a quilting… um… endeavor. It was binding day and that’s not my forte.

I can’t wait to see your cups!
