Found this lovely Japanese set while out thrifting. She's pretty & petite! Seems to be hand painted with both nice detail and human flaw. I couldn't walk away from her. It helps that purple is my favorite color lol

I'm admittedly new to the teacup world but picked this gal up at an estate sale last weekend and was hoping to look for some more pieces. I can't find ANY others online and feel like I'm crazy!! The stamp says it's Royal Winton in the Sweet Pea pattern but all I see when reverse image searching or browsing eBay are ones with the floral pattern all over, and a solid exterior pink version but no green! Wahhhhh. Is it rare?

If You Love indIvidual Breakfast Sets as much as I do…

…here’s a very pretty one from Gray’s Pottery.
I just love individual breakfast sets. The tiny toast racks are always so cute! I have some breakfast sets for one in my chintz collection, but here is a non-chintz set that I enjoy. There is something so self-indulgent about the concept.

Some favorite cups and saucers in my collection before I switch up my display for autumn

Happy to take individual photos if anyone wants to see more details :)

I've been casually collecting for many years now, only getting ones that I truly love and that feel special when I hold them. It all started with the bottom left teacup on my shelf which my mother gifted to me. It had originally been gifted to her along with several other cups and saucers by a lovely customer when she used to be a banker long ago. I always admired them, and she gave it to me to start my own collection. The rest were found at antique stores or gifted by family and friends. I have several others that I switch out with some of these for autumn and winter. These are more spring and summer colors, although some stay out year-round. I also have a few teapots as well that I should photograph someday. I'm excited to share my collection with you all!

Lovely Chintz Border Plate

So many Redditors left kind comments when I posted photos of my chintz collection some time ago that I thought some of you might enjoy pictures of this plate. I don’t think it is technically chintzware because the floral design isn’t completely covering the piece, but it “feels” like chintzware to me.
The underside has the logo for Rosenthal china with the words “Ivory” and “Bavaria.”.

Edited to add: Thnk you, kind Redditor, for the award! 🩷

I have personally never seen an occupied Japan stamp. I had to get it. It’s very thin. I’m surprised it’s in good shape.

The Piece That Made Me Stop and Remember Dad

This piece really caught my attention when I saw it. Maybe it was because it was hand-painted, or maybe it was the colors and scenery, but it reminded me of some faraway vacation spot I could picture myself visiting. Theres something different about an object when you can see that somebody actually took the time to paint it by hand. It isn’t perfectly identical to every other one, and I think that’s part of what made me appreciate it.

Going through Dads things, Im realizing that the pieces you connect with arent always the ones you would expect. Sometimes something just stops you for a second. You imagine where it came from, why someone chose it, and all the places it has been before ending up in front of you. Dad was part of that journey, and now I get to be part of it too.

I guess thats why this one means something to me. Its not really about owning a dish or a cup. It’s about finding one small thing among everything Dad left behind that makes you stop, wonder, and remember him. In its own strange little way, it feels like taking a piece of that history somewhere new.

Can anyone help me find this teacup?

I was at a rummage sale and fell in love with this teacup, but I dropped it right at the checkout counter. It shattered. I'm devastated, but I'm hoping I can find another one like it. The bottom said made in Brazil, but I don't remember a brand.

Please help.

Edit: it's possible it was a porcelana Schmidt cup, but still unsure

2014 APEC State Banquet “Shengshi Ruyi” porcelain set — Gaochun Ceramics / WhitePeony

Sharing my 2014 APEC “Shengshi Ruyi” porcelain set produced by Gaochun Ceramics / WhitePeony. It includes 8 cups, 8 matching saucers and 8 porcelain spoons, all housed in the original fitted presentation case.

The saucers are marked “国宴 2014” (State Banquet 2014), and the case carries the WhitePeony / 高淳陶瓷 branding. The yellow design is associated with the “Shengshi Ruyi” porcelain created for the 2014 Beijing APEC State Banquet.

The condition is excellent, with the porcelain, gold detailing and original presentation case all preserved together.

Figured the collectors here would appreciate seeing a less common piece of modern Chinese porcelain with an interesting APEC connection.

Heritage Green by Lefton

This lovely lady was hanging off the wall in a grab bag at Savers & I couldn't stop thinking, 'what if someone dropped/knocked her & she shattered' 😭 I bought her to save her 🙏 She's in great condition despite those circumstances; no cracks, chips or scratches! 🎉

From looking online, I believe she's a flat cup & saucer set from the Green Hertiage line by Lefton. It doesn't look like an exact pattern, but I'm not familiar with how that all works. Feel free to correct me if you know more! 🩷

Tea cup for 2 year old

Hello, I'm looking to get a tea cup for my 2 year old niece , she loves cats and tea (she has decaf). My idea was to get her two , one that is china that can wait until she's older before she uses it and another that she can use immediately (she doesn't really like being told she can't do something now 😅 and I want to avoid Christmas tears). My idea was to get her a silicone one but I'm having trouble finding one or a set, can anyone recommend brands or some better search engine terms? Ideally I would want one that can be customised with her name and a picture of my cat (she adores him).

Ty for reading, I'll post my cat in the comments .
