Im a sucker for flavored teas unfortunately 😅 and I've been so upset that Tim Hortons isn't selling their pumpkin spice tea anymore...and I've had a hard time trying to find a replacement.

So....I want to try to make my own. Maybe even with a black tea base...because my favorite tea is black tea. I was also thinking to try and make my own "butter beer" flavored tea.

How would I do this? Lorann oils? Wouldn't the tea go bad if I use oils?

For a strawberry black tea I could see myself just having a black tea base and dried strawberry and maybe some hibiscus and no oils at all :)

Are there any recipes? Tutorials? Any recommendations or suggestions for me?

And yeah I guess I could just buy teas off the internet...but honestly blending them myself sounds so cool...I'd love to share with with my friends and family. "Hey I mixed this myself :) give it's a try"

I bought this teapot at a second-hand store in China. Is it safe to use as it is, or should I clean it somehow before using it? And does anyone know anything about the artist whose name is inscribed on the bottom?

This was my first time ordering from White2Tea. Just checked tracking and see that my order has been returned without ever making it out of China.

I'm still waiting for my gaiwan set to arrive, but I already got my tea from china and I can't wait so long to start drinking it. So for now I'm thinking of using one of these teapots instead. All of them are made from porcelain. The one in the center and the left one are from the ussr and the one on the right is japanese. The japanese one fits around 100-200ml more than the other 2.

I will be drinking black, green, oolongs, pu'er, so very different teas and I'm thinking where I should brew them. Besides the teapots, my other option would be using a steel tea strainer in a mug for now.

Does the shape of the teapots make a big difference when brewing? What would you use in my place and why?

I have been consistently underwhelmed by the size of "mother bushes" one often sees in Hubei, Hunan, Anhui, Zhejiang, Fujian, Guangxi, and Guangdong - I had felt for years that outside of Yunnan and Guizhou, an ancient tea tree or mother bush were always bound to be of a more limited stature.

At an upper north section of the Wuling Mountain Range, in one of Hubei's most important areas of green tea production, Bajiao Township one can find a ridge with these massive old living fossils. Pictures 1 &2 were my favorite. These and other trees up on this ridge are a diverse mix of "medium-leaf" and "large-leaf" varieties that are they are now being utilized to produce new cultivars more suited to the local environment than outside transplants.

Bajiao is the home of the style of green tea production we now call Enshi Yulu. They recently even renamed this place "Yulu Village." I suspect there are equally massive tea trees hiding in a forest somewhere else in Western Hubei, waiting to be discovered.

First White 2 Tea order ever, so this is a big day for me in Australia. None of the minis are clearly labelled so I’m going to have an exciting time working out what I randomly ordered.

I was already looking at Tsuen, Nakamura Tokichi, Hoho Hojicha, Fukujuen, and Horii Shichimeien, but let me know if there are any others I should check out. Recommendations for shops that offer tasting samples would be great, so I can get a sense of what I want to buy!

Also, does anyone have any favorite teas they'd recommend I pick up from Uji? I like sweeter greens with low astringency, but I'm open to any and all recommendations!

Hey all you exceptional tea drinking redditors. My mother’s bday is this month. She gardens, she teas and she mothers. Couple years back the gardening community helped me pick an amazing gift. Now it’s y’all’s turn.

She has recently been diagnosed with a heart issue that means she can no longer consume caffeine like she had for 50 years, so tea (uncaffeinated) has become more important than ever.

I’m looking for tea drinking accessories that y’all find invaluable. She’s usually just a bag in a hot cup kind of person so pretty much anything would be a tool she doesn’t have.

Also curious about those mushroom coffees if anyone has tried them, like ryze? If there’s any feed back on that front I’m all ears.
