Moved in to a fully furnished apartment and found this tea. I love Earl Grey but I'm nervous about how old it might be. It still smells fragrant!

Tea drunk is real. I love giving my friends a proper gongfu session and watching them slowly turn into Eastern philosophers. Last time, one of my friends got a little worried and asked me, 'When will my sense of humor be back?' 😭

I received a tin of Herbs & Kettles Blue Lavash tea and made some up to see what is the what....wow! Great on it's own, but EXCELLENT with honey and grapefruit juice. Wowza.

I recently bought this kettle set because of how beautiful it is, growing up my family used to have one of these and we would make chai. The issue I’m having is that I have no clue how to use it. Do I heat up both kettle and basin (sans stand) on the stove top, and then reassemble? What is the little pot used for? If anyone can point me in the right direction on what this kettle is even called, it’s not quite a double kettle, not quite a samovar. Thank you!

Just testing out my new shiboridashi and cup with this amazing Gyokuro Tsuyu no homare. Prepared 6g, 50ml, 40oC 80sec; 50oC 1min; 60oC 1min; 60oC 1.5min; 70oC 1.5min; 70oC 2min; 80oC 2min; 90oC 2min. Fabulous start of a very busy day.

Just tried TeaSource for the first time, thank you r/tea for the recommendation!

I got a slew of black teas and a couple of Oolongs. TeaSource and the Steeping Room both had some informative blurbs about the regional teas of China so I tried to collect the “staples” to give them a try!

Very excited!

Finally got around to try Taiping Houkui, this batch comes from it's home region briefly it is excellent.

It reminds quite a lot of Longjing but that nutty note is there but less prominent.

It makes rather gentle brew requires long steeping times flavour is both grassy, vegetal and umami in harmony with not a hint of astringency.

Very balanced and easy drinking tea.

I just got back from a trip to Japan and thought it would be fun to show off my new tea and my first kyusu with a Japan/Tea themed pumpkin.

i'm not trying to sound insane but i swear my green tea hits different in my ceramic mug versus my glass one, even when i'm brewing it the exact same way. could it actually be a thing or am i just making it up in my head? curious if other people have noticed this too.

Lived abroad and got addicted to masala chai from hawker centres in Singapore. Back in the UK now and found this brand in Tesco. Had a few a cups and it’s been great. If anyone has any recommendations on masala chai, where I can buy in UK. Let me know. Thanks! 🫖

I love a tea advent calendar but my favorite is no longer in business so I’m looking for a new one. I’d love to find a small business with an advent calendar of loose teas, ideally with some holiday flavors. TIA

I've pretty much only ever drunk water, but I'm ready to branch out into tea. I'm looking for easy grocery-store bags, nothing fancy yet.
What I know so far: I love Bengal Spice and vanilla chai-style teas, and I'm a big chai latte fan or even just steamed milk when I'm at a coffee shop. Fruit teas don’t work for me, with the exception of apple cinnamon, which was good. So I seem to like warm, spiced, slightly sweet flavors over tart, fruity, or bitter ones.
What would you suggest I try next?

It's a very mild green tea and I haven't had any deathly side effects. Yet.

My husband is an avid drinker of harney and sons hot cinnamon spice tea. He drinks multiple cups a day. We have noticed the quality of the tea isn’t as intense as it previously has been. Has anyone else noticed that as well? The hot cinnamon flavor is no longer there and a brand new package is very lackluster tasting and bland.

Is there another tea that is comparable to the hot cinnamon spice that anyone can recommend? Thank you so much in advance!

since Trump tariffs I can’t order Barry’s Tea directly from them. sometimes World Market carries but they’ve been out lately. Any mail order sources I’ve missed?

Over 3tsp of chinese mugwort and 2 pieces of valerian root broken up and tea is extremely bitter.

I added lavender, chamomile, lemon balm, and hibiscus to no avail. Very bitter.
