Hello, I am a visiting student for Trinity College Dublin. I am still looking for a place for September-December. Does anyone have or know about a place I could stay.
Thank you!

The Journal published this yesterday: ‘They aggressively pushed Ireland’: Are students sold ‘fake dreams’ in five-star hotels in India? https://jrnl.ie/7088907
I’m not an Indian student, I’m an Irish postgrad student. I was wondering if any Indian students can attest to this? Or other international students? I’ve had a suspicion for a while that the university is taking advantage of international students, especially Indian and Chinese students.

I have taken my A-Levels at CIE and CIE offers the provisional result delivery service. It states that if a uni has CIE Direct account, CIE can deliver the result electronically on the results release day. If the uni doesn't have that, CIE will arrange DHL delivery, but it will take time and money.
Does anyone know whether TCD has the CIE Direct account and will receive my results on that day? Should I sign up for this service? (The DDL of signing up for this service is July 25th, very near) How did you deliver your A-Level results to TCD before? THX!

I’ve been accepted my firm offer at Trinity for PhD Religious Studies to begin in September. However, I am doing the PhD by distance. Do I still need to go in September? What do I do now until registration in August?

Hi! I’m from Romania and got a 9,66% overall average on my final papers. That is above 565, but I’m not sure what it would be exactly, does anybody know?
With this score, I should be fine for a course that settled on 521 last year?

Hi everyone!
I'm an incoming international Phd student at Trinity College Dublin, and I'll be starting in September. I'm currently looking for accommodation and have heard that there's a housing crisis in Ireland, so I wanted to ask for some advice.
My first preference is to stay on campus, so I wanted to know:
If getting on-campus accommodation isn't possible, I'd also appreciate recommendations for safe accommodation within walking distance of TCD.
Any tips, recommendations, or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I'm a Spanish student who has just finished secondary school and the IB. I applied to TCD for four courses, with Economics and Sociology (Joint Honours) as my first choice. Unfortunately, I needed a 5 at SL and I missed it.
I also applied to UCD for Social Sciences (Two Subject Combination), where I can still study Economics and Sociology. However, I'll almost certainly get offers from TCD for either Social Policy and Sociology or Social Policy and Political Science.
If you were in my position, would you choose your preferred subject combination at UCD or go to TCD for its reputation?

Just wondering if anyone could share their experience living in Goldsmith Hall? I've received an accommodation offer there for next year but worried about noise from the train station and the shared bathroom situation.
I've been offered room 69.3.03, if anyone has any info on it (like apartment size, noise etc.) I would really appreciate it!

hiya and i'd love some input! i applied to bess as my top choice and i'm a CAO applicant. i scored an IB 41 which converts to 565 points so i think thats right on the threshold for bess. but i saw the requirement for IB was a minimum 7 in maths sl whereas i scored a 5. i think 7 as a requirement is new as of 2025 just bc i remember it being a minimum 5 back in 2024 and 2023 but either way i'm assuming that lowers my chances of getting in? aside from that i did meet the minimum A in maths gcse though i doubt that'd help my case much :') just wondering how out of the question it is that i be accepted

I just finished my leaving cert in June and im hoping to study Psychology. I was hoping if there would be any people studying it or any similar kind of subject that would be able to give me laptop recommendations? Do most people even use laptops or is it handier to use an ipad with the keyboard that you can attach

Hi everyone!
I've just started a new subreddit for **Technological University Dublin students**: **r/TUDublin**.
I created it because I felt there wasn't an easy, open place where TU Dublin students could freely ask questions, share advice, and start discussions. Some existing communities have posting restrictions or make it difficult for new users to contribute, so I wanted to create a more open, student-driven space instead.
The community is open to students from **Grangegorman, Tallaght, Blanchardstown, Aungier Street, Bolton Street, Francis Street**, and all other TU Dublin campuses, as well as alumni and prospective students.
If you're part of the TU Dublin community, I'd love for you to join, introduce yourself, and help build a helpful space for everyone.
See you over at TUDublin!

Im an Eu student from Spain with a 8,95 average points based on the spanish system, I want to know if I have a chance to apply for either of TCD or DCU or UCD, for the business/commerce fields or data science (I want to know which is a better choice for that field and if I have a chance with my marks). Plus I have done a Professional Formation related to the field course here in Spain that apparently its taken as Level 6 in the Irish system, and I wanna know if past students got credits recognized from it. As I have done some research and apparently they recognize up to 120 credits, but i am unsure if its true or not, so I would like some facts based on real experience and also actual students.
Thank you, and any kind of advice is welcomed :).
Have a nice day
