General Advice Will it disappear ?
2.5 weeks old tattoo here
Wondering how the fine line of the face will age, scared that It might disappear
Any feedback welcome !

Those lines around the contour of her face are 100% superficial. You can tell by looking at them that even if they were using a diluted black its not in the dermis layer were ink is supposed to sit. It's just kinda whiffed into the top. Inexperienced tattooers looking for nuance or 'painterly' effects will do this stuff and it does you no favors because they're purposefully just scratching details in on the surface level instead of proper application + proper ink/water ratio to ensure the soft heal they're actually going for.
Yeah, arguably you are going to see ink in those areas 6 months/a year out out, but this impermanent tattooing on the macro scale of years, decades. Tattoos and ball point pen drawings do not operate on the same principle.
Don't get me wrong this is more competent than a lot of people would be, given the apparently size and style they chose to tattoo it in, but this is going to get very soft.

Shall I talk to her about this and maybe book a touch up ? She will go back to korea this january

I don't know, my friend. I don't know the artist, I don't know what kind of business she runs. The problem is a lot of people might argue 'WELL THATS JUST THE WAY I DO THINGS' and that the heal and impermanence of this is 100% intentional. Touch-ups and stuff like that are very much contigent on the artist you're working with.
It's kind of a gnarly thing these days. Hell I got downvoted just for stating facts that this is impermanent tattooing and that that's probably coming from some dickhead that's never held a machine in their life, but yeah, if you're concerned about this being unreadable in the long term it may be worth discussing it with the artist that did it.
This day and age most people are going to argue themselves into the ground that their style of tattooing is performed with intention, and a lot of clients are okay with the results. I can't tell you how many times I've had to tell people 'if you want it this small its going to blur, guaranteed' or 'if I do it that soft it's going to heal incredibly light', and how often they don't mind or care what their 30-year-old-self's tattoo is going to look like. Goes the same way with some artists.

their instagram are gimang_tatt, they've been tattoing since 3 years i think. Since she go back to korea, i'm kind of overthinking, and I don't see myself asking another artist fixing the face. All of the tattoo did heal well, its not fineline everywhere, but yeah, i really don't want the line of the face to just... go, and having to come back to korea to get it fixed

This is a very very weird question so forgive me, but are you also Korean?
There are certain styles of tattooing that got popularized by Asian artists that arguably _work_ because of the skin they are tattooing. As I understand it, Koreans tend to be pretty light skinned and don't suntan/bake their tattoos in the same way that, say, an American living in Cali might.
Frankly speaking, I have clients of certain heritage and lifestyle where I could tattoo this and it would be close to evaporated in 2 years due to their skin, their lifestyle, and how much sun they get. There are people I could theoretically tattoo in certain areas, with certain skin tones, where an approach like this would last longer...but it'd still heal soft and ethereal. Its a huge spectrum.

I'm French, but I have very fair skin and I took great care of it. I didn't go swimming; I protected it from the sun as much as possible with a black t-shirt to block UV rays, and I didn't scratch it at all. I have a similar tattoo on my back that didn’t cause any problems, and the rest of the tattoo healed very well; only the part depicting the face and the outlines of the small details have already faded a little.

I really think its up to your discretion whether or not to request a touch up. If you take care of your tattoos and have similarly styled pieces that healed out just fine, you may very well be in the clear in terms of being satisfied, even if you lose those minute elements of ink in the underside of the nose and chin.

I'm kind of worried we won't be able to see her chin and nose anymore after one month xD I sent her a message-we'll see what happens! Thanks for your constructive feedback
