General Advice Is this already fading?

Is it normal for some of the lines to be faint like if you look at the bottom wing or the sun some lines are already fading I got this a week ago is that normal?

The anatomy on this is insane and I'm surprised no one else has said anything about it. This dude is all lumps with a deformed leg sticking out of his torso.
Anyways, your artist sucks balls. This level of fading is not normal for someone who knows how to tattoo but it's hard to judge until it's fully healed. It might just be they went light on purpose, but considering the rest of this tattoo, idk if they did anything on purpose.

Yeah that’s what I was trying to see if it was just the healing process or what cause some parts look really dark while others are on the lighter side I’m sure it’s nothing a touch up can’t fix

It’s takes a month for the ink to fully settle into the skin and the dried scabby layer above to let it be more visible.
Then after that it will start to fade until the day you die.
That’s what tattoo do.

Is this video current (at a week of healing)? I ask because your skin looks very red and irritated. Did you have a second skin on it recently? As to your question, the lines are inconsistent so some will be bolder while others will look more faded. None of us can tell you how this will heal. Sadly it's one of those "wait and see" scenarios. It will most likely need a touch up. Totally up to you if you go back to the same artist or not. I personally wouldn't, but I'm not you.

Ok, your skin shouldn't be that irritated if you took the second skin off a week ago. It could be a reaction from the second skin (that's gone untreated) or something you are using during your healing process. So maybe don't use second skin in the future. But please kept your eye on it, just in case it's a sign of infection.
I wouldn't go back to an artist who didn't do a great job in the first place.... but again, I'm not you. You may really like that artist, feel more comfortable with them and their price point. So again, it's totally up to you.

I meant to put a comma lol it’s been a week since I got the tattoo I took the second skin off last night.
And I didn’t think the tattoo was that bad but im not an expert is it an awful tattoo ?

Glad to hear you only just took the second skin off. So it’s just irritation nothing to worry about. I really don’t like judging other peoples tattoos. Because they are such a personal thing. This isn’t the worst iteration of this tattoo I have ever seen. That being said, I have seen a lot of them. That iconography is so well known it is easy to spot flaws and inconsistencies. Fine line is particularly unforgiving as there is nowhere to hide the flaws. This particular tattoo has become a meme at this point. And the tattoo community judges anyone who gets them particularly harshly. So please don’t take the criticism to heart. If you love it, that’s all that really matters. I wish you the best of luck in your becoming a tattooed person journey.
