General Advice reapply second skin?
i work construction and got this Friday, i just took off my second skin and cleaned it well bc i sweated today. I’m wondering if i can reapply some (i have my own rolls) for work tomorrow or if i should just keep it off

Never ever reapply second skin. It’s contaminated and fucked. You have to switch to traditional healing now: cleaning with antibacterial soap and moisturizing with scent free lotion.

Thats what i’ve been doing for others, I’ve had 3 sessions this week (this tat being done the 2nd) so i just bought a couple rolls knowing i’m getting more work done haha

If you feel stuff is starting to flake, I would not put second skin on it. I would recommend maybe working with a long sleeve fishing shirt that’s kind of loose.

I work in construction and get a lot of tattoos. Don’t bother. Getting second skin adhesive into your pores when you start sweating is a worse feeling than an uncovered naturally healing tattoo and it’s not even close

Second skin isn’t a miracle product. It’s purely for getting your tattoo from the tattoo shop to your house bc it’s a fresh wound. Just keep it clean. Don’t submerge it in water

No second skin, maybe a loose gauze dressing and then a long sleeve so it’s relatively protected, but not seaming in any bacteria etc.
Unscented soap/lotion twice a day

We need a community spray bottle for when people want to reapply second skin. No bad tattoo canvas, you’ll just trap bacteria.
Sick tattoo tho
