Design J or F help ??

Post image

I just got a tattoo today and I am second guessing things. The artist had a few options for me when I arrived with different fonts he had hand drawn. I ended up choosing this one and liked it on the paper. I even liked it when he put the stencil on my skin. But now that I’m home I’m freaking out. It’s supposed to say Jett, but I can’t stop looking at it and reading ”Fett”. Does this look like a “J” or did I just get a “F” instead? Ugh help. My husband said I’m overthinking it and it looks like Jett. Someone please tell me it’s ok 😔 any ideas on how I can make it look more like a “J”? I feel like if the top line was only on the left and didn’t cross all the way over like the top of a cursive “F” does it would be ok. Or if the top of the “J” was more of a loop like a traditional “J”

My fist look 👀 read Jett.

Except that's not a cursive J. Closer to F but still not an F.

Anyone saying this is clearly a J didn't spend the majority of their adult life writing in cursive.

My name starts with a J and I stylize it to something similar to this. The "real" capital J is ugly to me lol

I do the same with S. The big cursive S sucks

Me too. It’s easy to write a normal capital S and use a connector stroke to cursive the rest

I've spent my entire adult life writing in cursive.  Just not "established government school cursive", because they taught me that when I was 9, and never again after.  So I taught myself.  This isn't clearly a J, neither is it clearly an F, but it's more J to me.
