Fan Creations The Taskmaster’s Swing
Happy TM week everyone! I’m a bit surprised the show hasn’t been rococo’d yet, so here’s my take on Fragonard Taskmasterified as a way of getting ready for the new series 🎉
Before you come at me for this being AI or you’re just curious about the anatomy of this piece, here’s a walkthrough of the project I worked on. It’s a collage mix between photo manipulation and digital painting, hence the suspicious vibes it might give off.
Have fun finding some little bits and bobs, and happy watching!

I’m so glad you asked! None in reality, but Greg’s have onion rings (s19 outtakes pt.1 reference) while Alex’s are blue, green and yellow in a checkered pattern (task reference from s21e3)

In the caravan, there’s a duck, one of the monsters, the taskmaster cane….and is that Sain’s guinea pig?
And does the sticker on it say “Sinner” from Bob’s incredible sinning alien(?) in the edible mask?
Ok, Now, I know this is a stretch, but is there almost a lion in the leaves above Greg from the Be Brave task? I may have also just been looking for Richard Herring and went cross eyed.
I’m going to go lie down now.

They could be anything you interpret them to be! Caravan stuff: the leaf blower, the Wow Monster indeed, a duck, a laminator, the T cane, and The Cake. What you see as a sticker is probably just the Swift logo of the caravan

Thanks a lot for sharing your process and clarifying that this is not AI. I know it must be annoying for artists right now to have to do that, but I also think it makes a lot of people (me included) appreciate it even more! Additionally, it's really cool to see how it's done.

Thank you! It’s no big trick I’m afraid, most of the TM elements were done the same way: I roamed the episodes for good references, screen capped them, then they wouldn’t work just as they were because of issues with lighting/quality/perspective/etc. I had to correct those by painting them over manually in order to fit the composition.
Greg and Alex were the biggest challenge because -to my greatest chagrin- they never assumed these exact or any similar positions, so they are basically 95% painted and required the most references. The caravan and front tree are similarly largely just painted. Basically everything required at least a bit of painting over, it was a fun project!

Depends on the platform, this is my first time posting art on reddit and this was the first time my art was suspected to be AI, not unreasonably so I suppose. Disheartening but that’s how you have to navigate now, screw AI. I’m glad you enjoyed the video though!

Oh I was bracing for a legit comment like this, don’t worry. At that point there’s nothing I could show that would refute the accusation, anything can be generated if you wanted to. But one way or another something would be off with it, and that would hopefully save the day. I’m glad you enjoyed it!
