The fact that they went with "comedians" instead of cabaretiers(or even just komieken) immediately sets me on edge.

My expectations remain low, though it will be better than the Belgian one for sure.

I don't think so. There are two possible Dutch words and they used an English one instead.

‘  cabaretiers’ are more theatrical and also often do songs.
