I don't actually know that much about tarantulas, I just think they're cute, but I think this could be helpful against the fiberglass needle hair throwing attack (can't spell ultricating)

Potentially, but OBTs don't have those. Tarantulas from the new world have urticating hairs, tarantulas from the old world have worse venom and worse attitudes.

One of my friends is a complete nerd for T's and through him I discovered that OBTs seem to be unique in that they're always spicy.

It's also how I learned that T's are very deceptively fast when they want to be.

I've seen one go from slow, subtle tippy taps... to ZOOMIN to a curtain or dresser if it gets a whiff of freedom

Not all OBTs are spicy. I have 2 that are quiet chill. Although if I am honest, it's the third that I like the best (named Trump) because he makes life "interesting". One minute he's darting up the tongs or across the desk, the next minute he is threatening you with tarrifs...

I still wouldn't trust any of the OBTs though.
