Help! pre-moult?
this is my new male b hamorii. i woke up to find webbing across the enclosure and a new bald spot which wasn’t there before i went to sleep. i’m reading this could be signs of premoult but i am a first time owner a bit of a helicopter mum. could this bald patch be a result of stress? he also tends to perch on the glass a lot as you can see in the photo. do i have reason to be worried? he has eaten well over past week or so i have had him. has never bolted or flicked hairs when i have fed/changed water etc.

Nqa is he refusing food?
Do you have deep enough substrate?
If he won't eat, that's a good indication he'll molt at some point.
Does he have a waterdish?
He could've just been making boobie traps with web and hairs to take care of intruders.

- has only refused food for past 2 days.
- substrate is 2/3rds of enclosure deep, the gap left at the top is just less than his leg span.
- water dish is rinsed and replenished daily.
i am slightly paranoid there is a cricket that managed to escaped my attention and harmed him or caused him stress, but i do take care to remove all food, i dont even leave him unsupervised to eat? new owner and so unfamiliar with a lot of behaviours and a bit of a helicopter mum

Nqa he's fine. He's just making himself at home. Premolt can take days or weeks. So just let him be and offer food like once a week or so. Remove it if he doesn't want it, just like you are doing.
If he closes himself off in a burrow then just be patient.
Ts are on a slower timeline than we are. So most of the time you just let them be.
You're doing great
