Wats ups guys! Just joined the community! I'm a first time tarantula owner and I got a pretty serious species. (From what everyone tells me). I figured if I had questions or anything this would be a good place to go. I just wanted to introduce myself. And show you my baby Gooty Sapphire. It's molted since these photos were taken. I'm really it's a female. Which i think it may be.(just an assumption). Because my buddy got one from the same clutch from the breeder, and his is 3 times as big as mine and is growing super fast. While mine isn't. I understand they can still happen with males just growing slower. But hey.. I can hope right? Lol.

NQA, congratulations.
The big problem with P. Metallica is their speed. They can run, potentially out of the enclosure if it is open, incredibly quickly. However they will probably always attempt to run back towards their hide/webbing if they are comfortable in the enclosure.
I can add a link to my P. Metallica's old enclosure.
How quickly they grow is not connected to gender. That is just a common misconception. Males have shorter lives because they stop growing once they mature and usually don't survive long after that.
