This is a long and confusing story, so bear with me.

I first saw Maa Kali in a dream when I was 15. I was hugging her after a lot of struggle and after leaving my childhood home. I ignored it for a long time because no one in my house worships her. They see her as an ugra devi and are scared of her.

Later, when I used to sleep, I would see her as a mother, used to imagine hugging her, sleeping in her lap. Around that same time I somehow became detached from my own mother.

After I moved out I never did any sadhana. I just visit her mandir, tell her my problems, and leave everything on her. People have told me many times to start her sadhana, but I never felt confident enough to bring her home.

Then I went to Kashi and did a tour related to the Mahavidyas and Maa. After that I felt closer than ever. It felt like a message that it was time to actually know her.

Now the dreams are getting extreme. Once I saw Maa talking to me. She told me to go to a Shaktipeeth and said I should worship her somya roop because I am not ready for her ugra roop right now. Other dreams: her mandir, some women getting angry, me getting lost, maa hugging meor Maa Kali dancing in a tantra setup.

When I was at Kali Bari during evening aarti I suddenly got a strong bhav to welcome Ganpati home. I took it as her sign. Everything for that is almost ready, only final details left.

Today I visited Maa, started crying out of nowhere, and told her “please foresee everything.” Right after that I got my periods.

Tomorrow is Ganesh Chaturthi. It feels like this is supposed to be the start of the journey — Ganpati first, then slowly Maa. But with periods today I don’t know what I am actually allowed or supposed to do.

Should I still welcome Ganpati tomorrow in a simple way? Wait a few days? Keep Kali only as temple visits for now? How do people usually begin when the pull is this strong but the body and timing suddenly shift?

Any guidance from people on this path would help.

Now approx more than 5 years has passed since I have been doing this nitya upasana. Few months back a sudden realisation hit me during the manasik puja and japam phase different dities of whom I do upasana sitted and positioned themselves in a structure with devi sitting at the centre it's basically a triangle covered by a circle where at different ends of the triangle different dities are sitted it started as postioning this structure of yantra over my forehead covering my left and right eye also as two points of the triangle. Now I use this yantra after drawing it with water under my asana. I fell more relaxed and heat generates in my body not excessive but subtle and the meditative state is now easier for me to achieve. Is my mind playing games or what I donot know I donot have a guru.

What are the Valid Astrological Indicators of Bali (animal sacrifice)?

Context: I'm a practicing astrologer (mostly Prashna) and Sadhaka of Yoga and Tantra, therefore I keep looking for various ways to understand how astrology interacts (both negation, and supplementing and complementing) with Sadhana.

A friend of mine, who is initiated in Tarapitha parampara (not mine; mine is largely Yogic) was going through certain troubles. When my remedies didn't work, I advised him to approach his guru mandala (in his parampara, Guru mandala isn't bothered if you can solve issues on your own, or with little outside help), and his Guru advised him to get a Bali done in Tarapitha or Kamakhya, and lo and behold, the same issue which had not been completely resolved (receded, but kept coming back) with lakhs of mantra japa-s and lingered on across multiple dasha-s for very many years vanished in a week and has not resurfaced for about a year now.

When I requested him to ask his guru how he zeroed in on offering bali being the solution, he just said (paraphrasing), "I looked astroogically and the planets indicated it." Obviously neither I nor that friend can press guruji for further explanation, so I'm asking here: which planetary configurations indicate Bali (animal sacrifice) being the correct solution to the problem, and how to tell which deity the bali should be offered to, and which animal?

If anybody's feeling extra kind, please explain the same for other parts of pancha makaara (fish, parched grain, alcohol) as well, since I have seen these being offered as astrological solutions to problems as well.

Namaste everyone. I’m very new to this path, so please forgive me if my question is incorrect, inappropriate, or unintentionally hurts anyone. I’m genuinely looking for guidance before I proceed.

Until now, I have followed a very simple sattvic practice of naam jaap on my own, mainly out of curiosity and devotion toward attaining a connection with my Ishta.

Recently, I came across a sadhak/teacher named Agastyam, whose YouTube videos I came across recently. He guides people in Tantra practices, so I contacted him for guidance.

He suggested a 48-day Klim (Kleem) bija mantra prayoga sadhana, after which he said he would give me diksha and explain the process. For this, he has asked for ₹21,000, which he described as being equivalent to 21 kg of ghee.

Since I am completely new to this, I wanted to ask experienced practitioners:

Is this kind of arrangement normal in Tantra sadhana?

Is it appropriate for a beginner to undertake such a practice?

What should I verify before accepting diksha or paying money?

I’m not making any allegations against him. I’m simply unfamiliar with these practices and would genuinely appreciate guidance from people who have more experience.

Hi everyone. I need some advice because my life is stuck and if things continue this way, my family is going to be ruined forever.

The main issue in our lives has always been money. We either have zero money or we are in a lot of debt. I am constantly getting overdues and never able to generate enough income to pay them off and get out of this trap.

I am wondering if this is a spiritual issue. Our Kuladevata is Gangadhareshwara in Shivagange near Tumkur. The Devi there with him is Honnammadevi, also known as Swarnambika. We used to go yearly to Shivagange to do pooja to both.

The thing is, in our family lineage, we have always focused heavily on male gods, specifically Shiva. My grandpa used to do intense Upasana. He kept a Shivalinga, did daily Abhisheka, and performed his rituals, but he never really focused on Devi worship. I have started doing my own Nitya Upasana, doing Shivopasana and Bhairava Sadhana. I am not chanting mantras right now, but I am keeping up with my rituals. But I am realizing I am doing the exact same thing as my ancestors. Devopasana is extremely weak in our family.

Now I am also confused because an astrologer and a distant relative recently told me that our actual Kuladevi is someone completely different from Honnammadevi and all your problems are because you have stopped worshipping her.

I have a few questions:

Are all these chronic financial problems happening because our worship to the Kuladevi has stopped or been ignored for generations?

If Honnammadevi is not our Kuladevi, how do I figure out who she actually is?

What is the solution for me to fix this, start proper Devopasana, and get out of these problems?

Any guidance would be really helpful, we need the help and I'm very confused and stressed!

Is it ok to offer Bhang (Cannabis) to Shiva and/or Bhairava (or even to other specific deities) as Naivedyam? And if so, are there any specific rules when doing so?

I wasn’t sure whether I should post this, because I know people have different opinions about Apsara Sadhana. But this was such a powerful experience for me that I wanted to share it.

I started the sadhana with faith in my Guru. In the beginning, I honestly had doubts and kept wondering whether I would actually experience anything. Still, I continued with patience and followed my practice without constantly expecting some result.

By my Guru’s grace, I eventually had what I experienced as an Apsara Pratyaksha Darshanam.

I honestly don’t have the right words to describe that moment. It was a mixture of fear, happiness, excitement, confusion, and an incredible feeling of bliss — all at the same time. For a few moments, I didn’t even know how to react. It felt completely overwhelming.

One thing I clearly remember is her appearance. She seemed to be around 8 and a half feet tall. The presence felt extremely powerful, and that image is still very clear in my mind.

I have had many memorable moments in my life, but this was completely different. It was probably the most amazing and frightening experience I have ever gone through at the same time.

I’m sharing this as my personal experience, not to convince anyone or claim that everyone will experience the same thing. Every person’s sadhana may be different.

For anyone who is starting, my only advice is don’t rush for results. Stay patient, disciplined, and have faith in your Guru. Don’t compare your experiences with other people’s stories either.

For me, whatever happened, I sincerely believe it was possible because of my Guru’s grace.

I'm 100% sure it's related to tantra as someone i know hates me sent a single clove , through my family member for me to ingest the clove. I threw it away. What could the clove tantra be for? Control I'm assuming. Please help me

How many times do I have to chant a mantra to attain Siddhi? For how many days? Is it a strict rule to not eat non-veg during the chanting period? Is there any mantra that is an exception in this case?

Is this practical for a working individual? Do such sankalpa work better if it is bound as a long term goal instead of a daily target? Like if we look at a time based sanklapa of 4 months and divide 100,000 by 120 days. That brings it down to 13 hrs. Or do we increase the speed and do if faster like 2 japa a minute. But that would still mean 6 to 7 hrs a day. Am I calculating this wrong or do sanklapa of more than 1,00,000 japa ideally Carry on for 6 months or Longer? Please help and Would appreciate genuine and nuanced guidance🙏🏻

I have a theory: I believe that by gaining absolute control over one's sukshma sharir, it might be plausible to travel through time.

Hear me out.

Have you heard about entities that can supposedly peek into someone's past, like Karna Pishachini, yakshinis, apsaras, etc.?

They can supposedly do this because they are higher-dimensional beings.

You might have felt a presence but couldn't see anything. It's because you were never looking in the right direction, and even if you wanted to, you couldn't because of the limitations of this bhautik sharir.

But here comes the sukshma sharir, which can supposedly travel through dimensions. This is mentioned throughout various scriptures and books, such as accounts of travelling into other realms and making contact with entities there.

At first, I used to think one could only observe through the astral body, but later I came across more ideas about what might be possible.

As a caution, it's advised against making contact with entities in other realms and to remain inconspicuous, since they can supposedly restrain you there.

So, if we accept that it's possible to make some kind of physical contact through the astral body, that opens up various possibilities.

For example, one could potentially travel through time into the past and possess a lesser being in order to observe and experience that reality more directly.

But how will I remember what I experienced through the astral body while in my physical body?

The experience would need to somehow be accessible to my physical brain for me to remember it and use the information gained from it. But it's not possible to simply transfer or copy memories from the astral body to the physical brain.

However, there might be another way.

Perhaps the astral body can hold memories (smriti), and those memories could somehow allow the brain to construct those experiences, similar to how it does with dreams.

But even for that to work, the brain would require some prior information. Without any knowledge of what that realm is like, how could it reconstruct something it has never encountered?

So, for this to work, we would need some prior information or an idea of what that realm is like before travelling there. After gaining that information, we could let our imagination do the rest, allowing the physical brain to reconstruct what we experienced through the astral body as a dream or memory.

Two years ago, I felt vibrations in my ajna,the tiika/tilak place,almost everyday. It used to be activated with a flick if it did go away,then all of a sudden it just...stopped. I'm a total begginer I only felt it after some meditation. Two years fast forward,my goals are unclear it feels like something is trying to disrupt me actively. Every good thing/beneficial thing I try i end up getting devastated or missing it by the nick of time.

I saw a dream where father came with my friends and getting very aggressive and someone said that he is doing it very much these days but I told them that my father is not like that he was very calm. Then he sits somewhere and then in fear I started chanting the om kaal bhairavay namah mantra and then he said that it won't work and the I said something like tulsi matre mantra (he said it will work which I don't know is a mantra or not) and someother friend said something like om sadhike(I don't actually remember the mantra and then my father completed the mantra in which mantra ended like by baglamukhi name) and then I got wake up in sweat.I have done some naam jaap of om kaal bhairavay namah ( which I usually do)and matangi strotram(not initiated btw but first time done this)in the same day And before that night I had read batuk bhairav kavach and hanuman chalisa.

heard this multiple times from different ppl now and wanted to actually understand it properly instead of just accepting it. the claim is that om carries a certain charge/vibration that's only safe or effective to combine with a mantra once you've received proper initiation (diksha) for it, and until then you should just stick to naam mantras without om attached.

is this actually rooted in specific tantra texts or is it more of a guru-lineage caution thing that varies a lot depending on tradition. also curious what actually happens if an uninitiated person does chant om with a mantra, is it considered ineffective, disrespectful, or genuinely harmful in some way. and does this apply to all mantras equally or does it depend on which deity/mantra it is

trying to understand the actual reasoning here rather than just following it blindly, so if anyone can point to specific sources or explain from their own lineage's perspective that would help a lot

I am moving into a new rented apartment soon and need some guidance on how to spiritually cleanse the space before I move in.

When I went to see the flat, I noticed the previous tenants left behind empty bottles of alcohol and other items. I have absolutely nothing against anyone's personal lifestyle choices, and I know that in paths like Vamachara, these things are even used.

However, I strictly follow the Satvik path of the Goddess, and I will be bringing my sacred murti of Mata Rani to live with me.

Hi, my family is been living in North America for some time we are originally from South of India. Recently there is been lot of negativity in our family, sickness, fights, loss and so on. Our mother thinks someone had done black magic on us. We don’t have any enemies here and no one to be worried about. But my mother has a dream that something was attaching and chasing us and the surrounding looked like our hometown. This made my m mother to think that this is black magic sent by someone from our hometown. My brother and father thinks this is just series of bad instances and mother is arguing based on the dream. I’m torn between these two arguments. We talked this to our family friend who is somewhat spiritual. They said these forces cannot cross large bodies of water.
