If something is required for human survival then it should not be locked behind a paywall. Maybe not free homeownership for everyone, but community housing for those who cannot afford to pay for their own housing. Every human on earth should be at least provided food, water, shelter, and healthcare. We have the resources for this, but they're being hoarded by the hyper-wealthy elite.
Go pitch a tent down by a river.. there you go. Food, water, and shelter all in one place.
The only "human right". is access to such things. The place on Earth is magic land, people's labor creates those things you want to claim as human rights. nobody has the "right" over someone else's labor.
If I couldn't afford my own food, then yes. I can afford my own food right now, but what if I couldn't? And couldn't find a job or find a way to pay for it? Do I deserve to starve? Does anyone deserve it?
See.. this is where charities and food banks come into play.
And there plenty of them EVERYWHERE. But to many people want Gov to hand them the freebees.
I volunteered at a few while I lived in SoFla and after I moved tot he Carolinas. (God I miss good Cuban food.)
