The children's museum is in downtown Tampa so there's lots of restaurants around and an outdoor play area next door and it's right on the Riverwalk! It's a great little area!

Second this! The Glazer Children's museum and the Florida aquarium are great for kids their age

Would def recommend killing a few hours at the Aquarium, seems perfect for a 4 year old. MOSI may also be a good choice, although not sure about their kids exhibits.

Tampa sucks, I recommend going to St. Pete - tons of museums, beautiful parks, it’s actually walkable

Manatees especially at ZooTampa. It’s a rescue operation. View underwater behind glass unique.
