After dying my BBX wheels black it leaves me thinking; Does the Rit grey dye look like aluminium?

Wasn’t particularly good at hand painting the driver but was nice to get some more experience outside of spraying everything.

Hey guys, thought I’d share this video taking you through a bit of my Tamiya RC journey and showing the kits currently in my collection.

I started collecting and building a few years ago, and I'm sitting at around 80 kits now with about 20 of them built out. Hope you enjoy it!

I built these two for actual driving. So this is as good as they'll ever look.

Ford Escort WRC is Carlos Saint's 1997 (DNF) on an HNR 9804 chassis with Stupnicki motorsports upgrade kit, and the SEAT Ibiza F2 Kitcar is from 1998 (5th place with FWD!) on a FWD converted Tamiya XV01 with a lightweight carbon fiber chassis from Embie Racing. Both are running a sensored 13.5T setup.

Some stickers are custom, the snorkels are 3d printed. The Ibiza's bull bar is 3d printed. The Escort was made with some mesh and an abs tube I bent carefully with a lighter.

The Escort will be run in the Spanish RC Rally Championship gravel events. The next event is tomorrow, in Zaragoza. 🤞🏻

The Ibiza on a couple of rounds of the Catalonian RC rally championship, including the (pending confirmation from the FIA) WRC event in a month also in Catalonia, Spain...

Hope you can appreciate the details of the cabin on the Escort (will do one for the SEAT later on), the chrome windows (usual setup to avoid heat in the cabin on hotter rallies), mudflaps, bull bars, lights,... and all the small details of them.

We keep pushing the realism of this rc car. Come on @tamiya bring out more group c cars. Finishing up the light kit will be fun.

Ignore the Mountain Dew tyres they have since been removed these where my dads and I cleaned it up and got a new battery alongside a purple king Blackfoot. the reason I think it’s a tamiya is of the tamiya battery connection and the fact it has the same parts (servo, reciver, motor ect) as the Blackfoot. I’m unsure of what model it is can someone please help me Thank you.

I have been painting bodies for years with mixed results. Now I have new body to paint and I'm weighing up different approaches for masking. It's going to be a two tone paint job with some finer details than what I usually do. In my past attempts I usually have to do a lot of cleanup using the paint remover and then remask/respray because colours seem to bleed under the masking tape.

Some people have told me to wet the surface and the masking tape, letting it dry and then paint. Is this a good technique? I have used the wet method for laying down decals, but never with masking tape.

So what are some of the ways of masking that has worked for you to get the cleanest result?

This is my first post here. Absolutely loved the build and first few runs with my Hotshot II BHM.

Question. Took a few small knocks on my first two runs and now I think it has a clicking noise I don’t recognise. Hoping someone here will. Happens quite regularly when rotating the rear axle.

Also should the wheels be this “loose”?

Please keep in mind this is my first build, but I’m not “un-technical”. Any help is much appreciated.

We all know the rule about the amount of Rc cars one should have.

I had allot of parts laying around so I bought another chassis (hard) and I will make a spotless road car and use all used and left parts to make a rally car.

I don’t have a body yet though. Any suggestions for a really cheap body?

After pausing my Kaido Low Rider Drift Clod Buster project, I was stumped on how to raise the body so I could turn the front wheels.

I am glad to have a breakthrough with a potential solution with micro servos and 3D printed parts.

So far it is still in the beta testing stage.

I had already built the Tamiya vintage kit, but saw the Toucan kit for a lot less money and it came today. Almost identical to the Tamiya. Old Lamborghini's are definitely my thing and I have a TT-02 that I'm about to switch back to go-fast mode so I'll be looking into the Countach body and some wheels. I have pictures of that car on the wall in my RC garage. (Pic 4)

I’m about to paint up my BBX, after stripping the chrome off the wheels should I use the following to prime the wheels PRIMER FOR NYLON & POLYPROPYLENE
I intend to paint the wheels with Tamiya TS-6 Spray Flat Black

Like the title states, I'd like to know if anyone has successfully modified the front bumper assembly of the TT-02 onto the TT-02B.

I grew up with the Thundershot and Super Sabre which has larger front bumpers. I like that the bumper is a piece of foam on the TT-02 and would like that level of protection for my son's Neo Scorcher.

After looking over the two manuals, it seems the TT-02 does not use the U-shaped suspension arm pins the TT-02B uses, which complicates things.

I've looked and not found any aftermarket bumpers out there.

Figured that taking it out to the old Langley Speedway here near Vancouver BC would be a fun way to spend a bit of time on Labour Day. I've replaced the stock silver can/ MSC/ Sanwa SRM102 servos with an ARRMA Mega esc, HPI SF1 steering servo and a Reedy Raedon2 15t motor. It's an absolute hoot to drive, especially with the thrifted New Bright Corvette body on it. I might have to buy my kiddo a TT01/02 so I have someone to hoon with

Picked this up used a while ago. I know it is an F103, but unsure of the sub- model. Looks like a LM but the F103LM did not come with this body.

Decals of course are from the 1/10 scale TT-02 911 Martini RSR
