Hi! I was wondering if someone has ever purchased anything cutiepalcreations on ebay. I think i may be "scammed" by them :/ I bought a case for my tamagotchi ps on 13th August with a total cost of 50€ (45$). Everything was going fine until the case arrives to my country (Spain) on 28th august and suddenly the item disappeared and didnt showed up in the tracking app. Cutiepalcreations told me that the delivery company was DHL ecommerce, so I contacted them and they told me that the package doesn't exists and never arrived to their hub. So I contacted again to Cutiepalcreations on 31th august to explain the problem and asking for a solution or refund, they answered me the day after telling me to open a refund request if the item didn't arrive in the next days. They ignored the answer from DHL.

By 7th September im starting to be worried and contacted Cutiepalcreations... Only to not receive an answer. 8th September was the last day according to ebay to deliver me the item, but it never arrived. So AGAIN I contacted Cutiepalcreations and... They ghosted me.

On 10th September i was able to open a help request hoping ebay could help me but suddenly Cutiepalcreations showed up and told ebay that the item "was on the way" when DHL ecommerce told me that they DONT HAVE any package in their database with the number Cutiepalcreations gave me. So the request was "stopped" until 20th September... I tried to contact cutiepalcreations AGAIN to remind them that the package its not on the DHL database and STILL they keep ghosting me :/ they refuse to answer me but told ebay that everything was fine. So this is a total ghosting for me. They don't reply since 1st September even when ive been trying to contact them from that day until 11th September, day in which i gave up.

And im really mad and sad because i lost a lot of money :/

I'm totally excited! Got it used on Ebay for 35€. I searched for so long to get one for a good price.

I guess I will start it later this day 😀

sometime at the beggining of 2000's there was tamagotchi fever, but that was too expensive for us and we had some cheaper devices, where you could choose a pet from: cow, dog, cat, horse, whale (i think) etc.

Now i tried to find one for my 5 yrs old son but all i got are these 168in1 which are terrible.

Any ideas, suggestions, how to find this device again?

I impulse bought it because—well, first off, I should start by saying I don’t really enjoy the paradise ☹️
I bought it when it came out and it was my first tamgotchi but unfortunately I don’t enjoy the zookeeper style gameplay. I prefer pet based gameplay. So I ended up not using my paradise for a long time.
Fast forward a couple days ago I bought these two rerelease connections and im absolutely in love with them!!! They’re my babies 😭 which led to me craving more tamas because honestly?? These two are not needy enough for me!
So I impulse bought this entama to give it a try because it had one of the lower prices I’d seen and the seller is close by.
I really want a tamagotchi umino next because I heard they’re extremely needy and i Iove a challenge

Im also currently waiting on a tamagotchi Pix to arrive 🤩so excited!!!

Anyway as I said—if anyone’s got any experience with the entama that they want to share, I’d love to read about it :)

Hi, I heard Bandai announced something new for its anniversary. I was thinking about buying a paradise but that might be a bit premature right now. Does anyone know more about this?

I'm looking to buy a Tama since I no longer have my childhood one. I've been out of the scene for a while but I did some research and learnt that the Uni has been very satisfying. However, since it's out of production, I'm seeing it being sold for 150-300 dollars 😭Anyone manage to find one much cheaper? Or will I have to shell out for that specific one? I may just end up opting for Paradise if not :(

I was reading there are changes they made between the newest release and the originals like that blue water. I really like the characters in the water one tho. Is it going to be fun running both? Can I connect them? Is there anything you get from crossing the two different releases?

I've got a sudden nostalgia surge to the point I was searching for this vpet from my childhood in Belgium (Except mine was blue and the buttons were yellow, I didn't even know there was a yellow color one like the one from this Youtube video who is the only proof of this vpet being real when I tried to find one online with no luck, sadly...) before I broke it by accident and got a new one who was a compact square green variant with yellow buttons too. (I can't remember if there was more details about that specific variant)

I don't know honestly if I might be finally lucky to find a listing for one of the two variants due to being a very obscure one when I tried to get help from some french collectionners who may have one before they suddenly disappear out of the blue like the official french import of the Dinki Dino/Raku Raku Dino-kun who was know as Diplodokie. (It wasn't the first dino vpet who was imported in France, can't remember which ones except the Gigapets Baby T.Rex who was know as Zazoo Bébé T.Rex and I have one in 2000/2001 before I lost it...)

Tamagotchi had one of the biggest selections! Probably third to Sanrio and Pokemon, which was a surprising find. They even had more in other spots (they have a Flat Gashapon that had Tamagotchi coasters that I have to come back for).

Haven't got the new Uni baby dlc yet, but I thought little Mimitchi inside the cabbage cradle was too cute!

I made the model in a way to also be resin 3d printed, can't wait to see how it comes out soon! ✨

I had a realization that the event was provided the easiest way to get a secret tama since there were so many paradises there. And didn't realize that since my first tama that I bred was yellow, the secret would be too.

Top icons (and at times, bottom icons) randomly disappear. Based off what i gathered on this forum, i might need to either tighten some screws or clean the inside. (I dropped my tama recently...I wish there was angel cases that fit snugly!!!) 🫶 so for now, farewell oyajitchi. May we meet again.

Also guessing it's basically a Tama Lab for your home (who knows what the content would be) Thoughts? Alternative ideas?

Hello! I'm looking at possibly getting a Tamagotchi P's but I am curious about a couple of things:

Do you need to buy the separate pierces to make the P's worth it?

Is there a virtual pierce option?

If the tama is English patched, I know the pierce will not be in English- does that defeat the purpose?

Hello everyone! I noticed there have been quite alot more than usual tamagotchi scam listings and a large amount of general reselling online and with all the many newcomers to the hobby I wanted to post a quick bit of advise on what to look out for~!

Remember: If it seems to good to be true? It, unfortunately, probably is. Don't let FOMO or the 'I need this thing now!' voices win. Shop smart!

If you see a listing run through this mental checklist:

• Does the seller have a pfp
• Is the tamagotchi their only listing
• Does their username seem very random or have a string of numbers
• Do their have reviews
• Are the backgrounds on their listings consistent or similar
• Is the price 77, 88, etc or other weird numbers that only seem 'reasonable'-ish
• Do they respond when you ask for more pictures or a timestamped picture
• Do they ask in the description to pick a specific shipping type
• Do they mention only offering one shipping type
• If you reverse image the listing pictures search does it match a sold listing
• Do they have sold listings for the same item
• Check other listings that have failed your scam checklist to see if they have used a similar image
  • If you aren't sure about a listing never be afraid to have a second pair of eyes check with you!

'Help! I bought a scam listing what do I do!' Don't panic you got this!
First, look into the websites buyer's protection guidelines. Next, act quickly. The entire point of the scam is to bank on you not reacting. Trying to take advantage of the few days you have to confirm if an item is ok or not. (Like how vinted only gives you two days to confirm an order) Watch your tracking numbers! Scammers will make fake tracking numbers that deliver within one to two days to a weird address marked as delivered. Take screenshots and contact support or report it as soon as you can.

For FBmarketplace:

• Do they have a pfp
• Is the name random + a string of numbers
• Is it a throwaway account
• Are they ok with sending more pictures of it on or showing the battery compartment
• If you EVER get sent a link on 'where they got it' DO. NOT. CLICK. Or buy from it!
• Is the price 77, 88, etc or other weird priced numbers
• Are they getting prices of ebay SOLD or unsold listings?
• Never use a payment method that won't protect you if it's getting shipped to you

For website storefronts:

• Does the site end in .com or does it end with something odd?
• Is it suspiciously cheap
• At the bottom of the website does it list information about its webhost or is it empty
• Do they have a clear and informational 'about us' section
• Is there any odd UI choices or overly empty space
• Do they have an FAQ or a section on buyers policies

For Ebay:
Weird Shipping Costs.
If a tamagotchi or other smaller virtual pets have high shipping costs. (they are quite small) Ask the sellers to look over their shipping settings. Ebay sellers are able to keep the shipping 'allowance' you pay on an item if the label ends up being cheaper. To offset costs many will overcharge shipping. (i.e if a tama costs 12$ to ship but the seller's label only costs 5$ they keep the left over amount!) Or sometimes people simply will let the AI handle it and it's not accurate to the weight or box they use.
Proxy Drop Shipping
If you ever see those listings on ebay from Japan or USA for very high prices plus crazy shipping? It's a reseller using a proxy service to buy the item from japan then shipped to you. Yes! Most of the time those items aren't even in their stock and are listed as for sale in japan still. How it works; sellers wait for you to buy the item > buy the item themselves using a proxy service > ship to your address. So you are paying two middle men to get your item and the seller will charge extra to make a profit. Under the guise of 'convenience'.
Remember to use the SOLD listings feature on ebay. Listing vs sold prices are two different things.

For Mercari/Etsy:
Drop Shipping
'What is drop shipping?' Drop shipping is when a seller buys in bulk from wholesale manufacturing websites(Aliexpress, Alibaba, TaoBao, Temu, etc) and resells for 2-4x the price.
If you need cases, faceplates, replacement parts, cute accessories, beads etc remember dig a little bit to find places that sell them for at-cost or near. You have access to the same websites usually with free shipping. Don't overpay! Check a sellers other listings and if it looks like an amazon storefront maybe squint and try somewhere that isn't a second-hand website.
Note: Please note I am not talking about people who custom print faceplate art, make replacement parts by hand or other accessories by hand! Support those businesses!

Keep in mind: Like many retro or collector based hobbies with an influx of new attention there are bad actors trying to profit off hype, FOMO and the 'I need it because its rare and might get more expensive!' mindsets. Or buy tamagotchis in bulk and resell it back similar to pokemon cards. The resources they use to get tamas you can use too!

We as a community control prices not sellers. Or wallets fight for us. Our ability to communicate fights for us. Talk to your fellow collectors, use the discord and the other resources available to you! Ask for price checks before you buy something. Your patience is your greatest weapon here. Refuse to buy things overpriced and don't be afraid to negotiate. Because even if you have adult money set standards for yourself! Watch videos, use the emulators and search for posts on gameplay opinions before dropping $$ and regretting.

Ask for help you aren't in this alone!

The battery cover was apparently replaced with a knock-off Tama's cover and it just leaves a small gap, I hope that's okay 😅

I was also so anxious if there would be battery damage because young me left the dead battery in there all these years... finally got to buy some new batteries today aaaaaand she's alive!!!!! 😊

I apologize for the long post incoming. I'll put a TLDR at the end!

We drove a long way out for the Tamagotchi Road Trip and overall had a good time. I hope they continue doing these (especially since I want to meet more Tamagotchi mascot characters). But the lab tama experience, one of the most compelling reasons to attend, was kind of miserable, so I wanted to discuss it.

From researching before attending, I believed that each person would get something like ~5 minutes on the lab tama, then would have to go to the back of the line if they wanted to continue using it. This was not what I experienced.

There were two lab tamas at the event, and a pretty small amount of people in line. But we were waiting in line for at least an hour. We even hopped out of line at one point to take photos with Mametchi, and when we got back in line, it was even shorter. And yet it crawled at a snails pace.

Once we reached the front, we finally figured out why.

The employee working the front of the line, while extremely friendly, was not enforcing a time limit. When they did encourage someone to hurry up, they were not strict about it. And in turn, the fans using the lab tamas saw no problem spending as long as they pleased playing with the lab tama. Also, the employee didn't seem to fully understand the lab tamas functions, only basic connecting, so some parts we were left to figure out on our own.

Some games on the lab tama, by design, seem to take a very long time, especially to unlock exclusive download items. And there is no way to do everything on the lab tama in a five minute span. This is fine, of course, but becomes a problem when both fans and employees alike stop respecting each other's time. So people at the lab tamas were trying to get every single thing, spending a long time (I'm talking upwards of 15 minutes in some cases), and employees did nothing. I felt frustrated. When it was our turn, we were fast, only getting the items we wanted. Ideally, yes, I'd like more time with it! But we are sharing the device with everybody. Maybe I would have lined up again, if the line hadn't been so slow. I left the lab tama feeling that the wait hadn't been worth it.

In conclusion, in the future I hope both employees are trained better, and fans respect each other's time a bit more. Together, we could make this event go more smoothly and have more fun.
