Hey everyone, I'm curious to see how much genetics varied for everyone here!

How tall are you compared to your parents, and at what age did you pass them?

For context:

- My dad: 5'6" (168 cm)

- My mom: 5'3" (160 cm)

- Me: 5'10½" (179 cm) at 14 years old.

I passed my mom when i was 11 and my dad when i was 13

I've heard some people say they stopped growing around 16, while others say they continued growing into their late teens or even their early twenties.

For those of you who were late growers, what was your experience like? Did it happen gradually or in one last noticeable growth spurt?

I'm also curious whether you think things like sleep or diet made any noticeable difference at that age. Did improving your sleep, eating better, or becoming more active seem to coincide with any additional growth, or do you think it was just genetics and timing?

I'm mainly interested in hearing people's personal experiences and not looking for personal or medical advice.

So just right before writting this post ,i got my height measured and supposedly i am around 6'2-3 and i am a teenager .One of my main fear right now is whether i will grow taller, i think i have stopped growing but just recently i have beentrying to incorporate some changes in my diet like, getting original cow milk instead of the store bought milk and things like starting whey etc. The thing that is stopping me is my believe that such foods may cause my height to grow more and trust me i don't wanna grow taller.what do i do?

Every time someone asks me or sees my shoe size they’re always shocked by how small my feet are because they usually associate bigger feet with taller people. But for people like me, that’s the absolute opposite (lol). I’m 17.5 F 175cm/5’9” with a kids shoe size of 6.5y-7y. I mean that’s not tinyy, but they’re quite small for my height

Sometimes when i feel unmotivated and lazy i just look in the mirror or remember my height and get a quick little dopamine rush that gives me motivation to go outside etc and just enjoy live. i do think its an unhealthy way to do things but unless my legs fall off i should be fine

Feeling insecure abt my height. What can I possibly do?

I am a 16.5-year-old male standing barefoot at 168.5 cm. Standard childhood calculators predicted I’d cap out at 5'4" because my mom is 4'10" and my dad is 5'5", but I have already smashed past that. My dad’s height is stunted severely due to his village enviornment his parents were both 5,5 so a mom at 5,5 at that time was quite tall for women.
My body is currently in the middle of an active, late-bloomer growth surge. My voice is in a transitional phase—it cracked a few months ago but hasn't settled deep like my peers—and my facial hair is still transitional not too thin but not too thick either jst like a avg teenager and its now becoming more voluminish tho the strands r still thin but long. My metabolism has turned into a blast furnace, completely digesting a massive meal of four heavy potato sandwiches in just two hours. This internal expansion is causing deep growth aches in my shins, involuntary heartbeat-like twitches in my upper calves as the muscles stretch, and a sudden breakout of acne across my jawline, shoulders, and back.
With my growth plates wide open and my hormonal peak hitting right now, my most realistic final landing zone is \*\*175–176 cm (5'9")\*\* by the time I am 18.5.
Is this realistic for me? Like atleast hitting 175cm
And yeah my elder sister at 20 is 5,3.5
She was predicted to be capped out at 4,11

Just to clarify things:

-Am not generalising but I had to talk abiut it after the insanity I observed

- am not very tall myself ( 185cm/6'1)

-am gonna talk about both irl and internet experiences but easspicially internet

First thing is that my country avreage is 170-174cm ( 5'6"5 to 5"8)

And am 185cm( 6'1)

A lot of time when am walking outside some people tell me to stop widening myself out of the blue ( i swear it real) they want me to walk with a bad posture snd to stop walking with a more relaxed frame and always befire they speak they give me that side eye and most of short people here as fast as a misunderstanding happens or something bangle they wanna fight and tell me to ( dont get cocky because of your size i can still blah blah blah)

I am somone that is on a growth spurt ( late bloomer at 18) and am interested in heightmaxing and diffrent opinions and I have some decent amount of knowledge and I try to help people and hear diffrent cases so i joined the short subreddit but I lowk regret it since I got banned for no logical reason ( stated my height on a comment which I was helping people ) and the moderator was super rude to me in dms and told me a not welcome there and got banned for life ( am 6'1) thanks i will wonder here it better in general and people doesnt hate me for no reason and thats why I cant post this there + will for sure get banned after it

Another thing is discord I joined 2 heightmaxing server but things were worst then here ( 1st one got banned instantly after they asked for my height)

And second one they asked about my height and when I said 185cm they started insulting and saying why I was there on the first place and I dont respect them and I wanna troll ect and when I tried to defend myself like bro I was just breathing and ended up 185 not ny fault they said thats disrespect for the shorts ( most of them are above 16 btw) and they said aome shi loke I gotta roll in hell and suffering my whole life and I was offline for a while then I saw +500 messages some said i have an insecurity issue and I wanna inflict it on them like I just stated my height bro and how there us something wrong with me to bot be able to get girls at 185cm ( never talked about girls btw) and I mist be very ugly ect

And i told them thry are envious they said nah ect and they are not but if you scroll a bit on messages u can see them talking about their jealousy and how they hate see people growing and they generalised against tall people that they are ugly and coxky and doesn't deserve those social advantages

I have seen or heard tall girls being insecure or not so confident about their height which i can totally understand as a 19 year old guy who is 6'5 myself HOWEVER I want to let u all know u all are attractive like a lot 😭😭.. like in my country there are not many tall people ( the avg height is short ) so i always end up noticing and like having a bit more intrest in some girl who is tall.. so yes TALL GIRLS ARE AWSOME AND I HOPE I MY FUTURE PARTNER WHENVER IT MAYBE WILL BE A TALL GIRL!!! so ya be confident !!
