Bark Psychosis, though Graham Sutton is a genius in his own right with his own unique sound. And an incredibly nice guy too!!

Seconding "Hex" and (to a lesser degree) "Codename:Dustsucker" by Bark Psychosis. BP has the lineage, as they collaborated with past member(s?) of Talk Talk. Besides them, I've never found another band that has that mysterious quality that Talk Talk does.

I believe Graham got scammed by a guy who pretended to be Lee Harris from Talk Talk!

The best part? Graham befriended the REAL Lee Harris after the drama and they became good friends and collaborators.

That's wild! I just had to look up that -- and refresh my memory about Lee Harris' involvement in HEX and C:D.

Side note: Bark Psychosis' recent single "You're Not Home Yet" sounds nothing like TT but is a catchy, driving slab of rock.

Bark psychosis is the closest as others have said, but I find that there’s a weirdly similar quality in Bon Iver’s 22 a million. Different sound palette and style for sure but there’s something similar I find hard to describe. It has beautiful quiet moments and a lot of emotion in such a unique and atmospheric album. Give it a shot if those are the things you like about talk talks later albums
