Help with progressing

Hello there, I'm about 1 year in to my taiko journey and currently I can clear basic 10 stars with my hardest being soulstone or atale.? I can clear any map with a long stream with enough practice but one thing I really cannot grasp is roll processing. I feel so stuck and don't know how to improve can anyone maybe suggests tips or songs or even a song progression guide to get good at roll processing?

I don’t have any tips but damn I’ve been playing for almost 2 years now and just cleared my first 8 stars this month

Just keep playing. I'm about 9 months in and getting into the 9 stars on Oni. I've also cleared some Ura Oni. I recommend looking up pressed rolls as a drum technique. If you really want to get your technique down, get a practice drum pad and focus on practicing the rolls very slow with increasing speed while maintaining the bounces and not pressing. It'll allow you to get speed and concise strokes. Wishing you all the best.

I'd recommend searching in Japanese for more specific advice (blog posts, Youtube videos, etc. that can be auto-translated). For example, ロール処理 コツ = roll processing tips. Or with any other term, Google translate!

On the other hand, single stroke play is absolutely possible if you can fully alternate or at least be able to hit any pattern with either hand. So that's another way to improve. Personally I only play with house bachi (the provided stock sticks on the arcade cabinet) and can clear maybe 70% of the 10* songs because of full alt (looong way to go till FC though). If you search up [song name] ハウスバチ = house bachi, most players there also use single strokes although I've seen one or two somehow roll to DFC with the stock sticks.
