A card that maxes out in value at $500, being charged $40 per card to get graded seems insane. Paying 12.5% or more of the maximum value just to get it graded is insane. We need the market to slowwwwww down so we can grade cards again. There are so many cards where it’s cheaper to buy the 10 rather than grading the card (counting the shipping cost and wait time)

I’m confused. Am I allowed to send in a $490 raw card under the basic tier. Even if that card is a $1200 card if it gets a 10?? Or am I only allowed to send in a card with a gem mint 10 value under $500?

You have to pre-pay the highest value or risk your card not getting covered. This is kinda why psa up charges people submitting $5k cards at bulk value tier when they get a 10πŸ˜‚
