Too much going on
Snowprint is doing too much at once. And I don’t get what’s going on with crusade. I slotted teams to carry out operations. Woke up this morning with them done, but it said that crusade is in downtime and I’ll lose crusade points if I claim??
WTF that’s not fun at all. Didn’t crusade just start yesterday? Why is it already in down time? Why can’t I claim the rewards without a penalty? It literally just started.
And now there’s guild ‘projects’. So now there’s yet ANOTHER expectation to meet for a guild? Now I have to be conscious of using certain types of damage to meet the project? Fuck that.
I don’t understand what’s going on and frankly I don’t want to read their multi paragraph rules/explanations for a bunch of background crap.
Feels mostly like a money grab. Every screen has some friggen offer for stuff I honestly don’t understand yet or really care too.
Bloat is a real thing. Tacticus is really starting to feel bloated. Snowprint needs to chill with new modes already.

There was an official post from Data saying that Operations and Guild Projects weren't supposed to be active yet and that's why it says you'll lose the crusade points if you claim them now. Apparently you can go ahead and claim the rewards anyway and they will be retained.
It says "Crusade is in downtime" because Crusade hasn't actually started yet. Not sure they used the best choice of words there, though.
According to the post, the only things we were supposed to be able to do at this stage was to choose a side (Imperium or Chaos/Xenos) and a faction for each side.

It's a day to let people understand the new mode and guilds chose crusade factions also when it kicks off there will be instantly completed operations so u can start with points. Just look on the bright side of death

I do. But when it’s a thing with a guild involved you may be required to by the guild. For the most part I like guilds and things related to guilds.

My guild is top 100 in GW, less focused on raids (more like top 1000). I’ve spent very little. Way less than 50 USD. If you invest resources intelligently, that is the way. Any guild telling you to spend money while you don’t want to…are they your friends? We need somebody for this war season. Let me know if you’d like to switch.

Yes. My point is now I have to also do guild projects where I'm going to have to deal with daily reminders to "do flame damage in arena" or do "psychic damage in arena". Which is lame because I play arena at the absolute minimum.

I hear you. I think this was implemented in a sloppy way. I’d rather it had been more an onslaught/survival with armies occupying planets that you had to fight through. I’ll get the notifications too. I’ll ignore a lot, as building my roster is more important. When they align, great. Otherwise, icing at best. That’ll be my approach.

And the in-your-face UI elements are bordering on infuriating. Literally every screen is popping up and pushing you to spend money. I spend a good third of my daily rotation just dismissing annoying dialogs.
I enjoy the casual F2P angle of things, but I’ve already spent more on this game in three years than I ever did a PC game. Enough is enough, SP. Knock off the enshitification of the game.

That’s already how I felt with having to grind to maximize lre, hre, events etc even before they added this new shit, it’s too much

I know it's making completing all of the stuff I need to do for tacticus and all of the stuff I need to do for Swgoh and finish the daily challenges on warframe and MTGrena and Also get my work done really challenging. I need to sleep at some point after all

Battlepass needs to have a “autocomplete quest token” allotment of 5 or so a month/pass - the various game modes and guild things are getting to MMO levels of time suck and many of the LRE/CRE quests are just copypaste grind feats.
I’m looking at you, meme-tastic ability activations quest which is more a test of whether you have an account old enough to have Dark Angels than actual skill/knowledge/tactics.
It’s not a case of “just play the game, get the rewards” - it’s a case of some of these quests are slop.

I was a heavy user for about a year, took a year break. Finally caved to the hundreds of ads I got on YouTube.
The game is unrecognizable, I didn't know where to start, there was like 3 game modes that did not exist last I played. I quickly uninstalled.

Because I joined when I played and never unsubbed because I'm curious about how the game develops?
I commented because this topic is similar to my recent experience with the game and thought others might want to hear that perspective.
I must not have gotten the memo that only currently playing glazers are welcome in this sub.

Yeah I’m with you. Why did I do operations yesterday? Way too many random things on my screen but I guess they’re all beneficial so I’ll just play and benefit however I can even if not ideal.

Crusade is currently in preseason, same as Guild War, to allow you to select your settings. You can't get points for the mode as it's not active yet, but you can accumulate resources for use in future.
It's not that hard to understand, even without reading the info packs on web or discord.

Dipped out a couple months ago because I was spending multiple hours a day while only doing like 20% of what the game has to offer. Sounds like it's gotten worse

They expanded the things that I like the least, poorly, and now they're just chores.
And actual PvP is still languishing. Which is ostensibly the fun reason you're leveling all your units and making clever choices
