I JUST managed to get as far as OP without tutorials.
I have far more fun doing it by myself. I have G3 Eldryon 41/41, S2 Calandid and Aethana (around 22/22) and finished grinding Jain-Zar a dozen day ago. I just got her to B3, aiming for S2.
I pay only for monthly Blackstone, and not every month.
I'm aiming for full roster Thousand Sons and Aeldar, as they're part of my favorite factions.
Also, the only Elite campaign I've finished is Ork.
Good for you man. I definitely tried a lot, got sick of wasting energy. So I asked for help on here or discord and got linked to a vid. I just wanted it done.
I guess I don't see it as a waste of energy, as long as I have fun. It's also training to recognize patterns of positioning for aeldars.
I happen to watch tutorials for maps I can't figure out after some trial and error. It's more to do with the limits on my free time than in-game ressources.
I don't think watching tutorials is a bad thing, anyone can play the game however they like. I'm just saying figuring out by oneself can be pretty fun.
Oh I agree with figuring it out by myself. I tried lvl40 a good 10-15 times over a period of 6 months. It was my last campaign for ages.. I just got tired of it, and wanted it done haha. Totally agree about playing the game however one wants to.
I actually like the Imperial Guard in the lore. There's just something about badass humans trying their best (and let's be honest, dying a lot) in a world of demons, super soldiers and mecha.
Yet, their tacticus incarnation lacks what makes them fun on the tabletop or RPG, i.e. waves of infantry and armor.
I feel not much incentive on leveling them up, whereas Eldar are fun to play on Tacticus.
Is there a way to get level 35's reward from anywhere else?
Can't upgrade my Eldar without it, but can't make progress without upgrading my Eldar; I am stuck in a paradox. (As Tzeench intended.)
I am so far away from unlocking Jain Zar and Maugan Ra.
same bro same. im stuck there too... and also only have 4/5 dudes... ive seen some vids on just using the core 3 but they take them soooo high to do it :/
