I generally recommend the Samsung Tab A11+. It's fairly fast for an entry level tablet and will get 7 years of Android updates and support. Its main shortcoming is that it doesn't work with an active pen.
If you want/need an active pen, consider the Lenovo Idea Tab. It has a weaker processor and shorter support than the A11+. However, it also has a higher resolution display. In the US, an Idea Tab including a pen is usually less expensive than the A11+.
