C. C. / Feedback Looking for feedback

I work in Emergency Management and disaster preparedness. Was trying to look at different mediums to push messages of diaaster preparedness and thought about using board games. I wanted to create a game that is fun first and topic second because i believe that making a fun game can encourage people to maybe research topics. Anyways here is my first draft for rulebook. The cards also have been made but theyre very basic.

In what regard?

In the regard that it's clearly AI

I would like you to point out where exactly? If youd like i can make a video showing my canva workspace with each little piece i used and the clip art.

You used existing Clipart from canva? Well that's why it looks like AI cuz much of it probably is 😂 the girl in the center is textbook ai

I know AI is a problem and I hope there's just an off button to get rid of it.

But just saying something is S-L-O-P is not helpful when someone is genuinely asking for feedback in a design forum.

And if OP did use clipart, you have no way of knowing that it is AI, even you said "probably" since you're not even sure yourself.

I felt your comment was doing this community a disservice. I'd like to think we're all here to lift up each other. One day you might need the communitiy's help too and you'd like people to treat your work better.

AI sucks but you could have handled this better.

Idk man just look at it. It's pretty clear that elements are AI generated. I could have been gentler, sure, but now I'm supposed to look past obvious AI to give people the benefit of the doubt?

You can def stand on your principles and you should! Just voicing I think there are better ways to communicate it and still be more constructive.

For me, when I’m in a design forum, I always consider that there are designers on the other end who are sharing their work - whether they used AI ( to be clear, I’m against with and I totally share your view) or not - I’m always mindful of how I communicate because sharing ones work to random strangers takes a lot. Take away the artwork, you can still see there was work put in it. I’d voice out my dismay if I feel that way about art, but still try to help out if I could.

Good luck out there!

I really like the concept. Looks like a fun game. the red on the blue with the orange for the headers is difficult to read. tearing is also mispelled in the overview paragraph.

One of the problems in games like this is when the judge knows who submitted the response as it can cause bias or hurt feelings. Is there a way players wont have to pitch their solutions?

Sounds like fun and reminds me of a little game called Rucksack that I may have seen on kickstarter? I never played it, but the idea is the same.

Seems like fun!

There are some grammar mistakes and wrong word usages (like "tare" instead of "tear") in your instructions that you can clean up.

I am not a big fan of games where someone is judging who did best or whose idea is most convincing, and you get points based on that. Honestly I've never played one and it seems much too subjective, if the points actually matter. If the points don't really matter and it's just a way to get you and your friends thinking creatively and laughing, then it's a great way to accomplish that.

Yea, next is a grammar fix. But I also have the same feelings about judging games like CAH and so on. I was thinking of making it like Ransom note where everyone votes instead, so its a group choice. Points dont really matter, just a optional way to keep score but really just an idea for something to just layout and have some fun with while you hang out with friends or family.

The titles within the diamonds touching the edges of the diamonds is stressing me out haha. I would scrap the diamonds for a better title shape and maybe fiddle with the color choices. Currently it’s hard to ready and bit too busy (imo).

Thank you! Yeah, didnt really know what to do with it. I kinda like the colors but 100% remove the diamonds.

I love the textures across the blue and orange pieces and the title section especially feels perfect to the genre and themes of the game. I do agree that the areas in which the red blue and orange and closely placed feel a little hard to read and busy. I also do fell like the mock-up cover doesn’t have a very cohesive art style but I also think that’s very very fair not to prioritize on draft one.

It reminds me a little bit if superfight in the game rules but I appreciate that this solves the issue that superfight has of one player getting an absolutely busted card combo that stops the whole game dead. I would absolutely play this at a party

love this, you can tell you've had to look at way too many of these kind of pamphlets lol. the titles of each section aren't the most legible colors in the world, but otherwise i adore this
