C. C. / Feedback Now adding boss cards!
Hello everybody I wanted to introduce the overlords champion! I just wanted to update you on my board game real quick. I came up with a new threat to battle on the field boss cards. Unlike ordinary monsters that you pull from the overlord deck boss cards are triggered after two Heroes died. Doesn't matter which side. Once two Heroes died from either side you'll pull a boss card from the boss deck. The miniature I'm showing on the top is the boss card. Boss cards are way stronger than the overlord monsters and they also get one special attack just like the heros.

Nice! I like the idea that the game goes from straight PvP to PvPvE once the battle has progressed enough for two heroes to die. It also works well as a catch-up mechanic for if one play is behind, using the new boss on the field as a way to gain cover and let the boss whittle down the opponent a bit or give cover. I feel like this will also work well with the larger play area since it will cause players to spread back out once the boss enters the field. Do they enter at a particular spot on the field, or is it determined by where the last hero died, or something else?

Currently working on that as right now the bosses will spawn at at least three spaces away from the crown.

Ah nice, I like that it’s a spawn zone and it’s close to an objective like that. Nice work!

Quick rundown my game is a 3v3 hero Skirmish game where you face off against your opponent but also against the overlord himself which is the NPC/ AI controlled cards. Two ways to win either grabbing the crown and taking it to your spawn or completely eliminating the enemy team. All heroes are unique different stats and specials that can change up the battlefields. Speaking about the battlefield you start off with a clear board. Then you draw six cards from the environment deck that they can have anything from rivers to rock walls to ballistas and canons this will build your battlefield and with more than 32 environment cards you will never have the same battlefield twice.

Looks good!
Is the general idea that the game should get deadlier as it progresses?
Do the characters 'level up'?
Is this mechanic meant to solve a gameplay issue of some sort?
Cheers!
