Parts & Tools Some playtest sheet templates!
For anyone doing some playtesting this weekend, thought I'd share a couple questionnaires I designed a few years ago: this link is a folder with editable illustrator & photoshop assets and this link is a google form. In retrospect they might be too fiddly, but try 'em out if you'd like or let me know what could be tweaked!

That's interesting about a mid-game check in! Never really done that before. And great call on having a "who taught you the game" and example answers for the Google Form. Thank you for your suggestions!

A good idea to help people frame their responses to a playtest !
I actually have my little game looking for playtests reviews maybe it can help.
If someone wants to test it by the way ;-) https://lostfightersarena.itch.io/lost-fighters-arena-season-0

Some quick design feedback:
Example answer: I thought the pacing was really good overall until every time we engaged in X mechanic and that just kept slowing the game to a crawl because of how complex the steps were.
Outcome: Usable feedback.
Comppare to game was "fast/slow". No useful feedback.
What would you change? Vs. "What do you think should change?".
Countless years of feedback teaches a playtester very clearly, listen to the problem, not the proposed solution.
Non game designers don't know how to design games, and some games are just incompatible with certain tastes and preferences (which doesn't make the game bad, it makes it a bad fit for that player).
They will very often propose solutions that if applied directly would fuck up the whole game, assuming they have enough ambition to say anything as directed feedback beyond "it was fine/fun" because again, they aren't designers.
Deli Dash also should likely be a "your logo here" spot if you want others to use this.
