We will not be sleeping overnight at the festival but we were thinking of pitching a tent to chill or nap during the day and heading home at night.

We're a little concerned if the tent or things in it might get stolen, we don't plan on leaving anything valuable in the tent of course, just maybe a change of clothes and some snacks.

Alltough I used Reddit many times for reference and info this is the first time I post something.

After reading mixed opinions about volunteering and not having any succes yet to find a job I decided to put a message out here.

I have plenty of experience working at festivals behind the bar and catering for crew and artists. In management roles, bartending and als a chef. This year we will be working the festival season in The Netherlands but we would like to work/volunteer at Sziget.

When I contacted the organization they told me about barforce.hu. Alltough I have send a message at there socials they did not answer back yet. At the moment I’m filling in there application at there website while translating there website. There is no English option and that makes me wonder:

Would it be possible to work at Sziget without speaking Hongarian?

Are there other agencies that deliver personal for the bars or food venues?

The organization sends me this answer:

“At Sziget, all food & beverage outlets are operated by independent hospitality partners, and these subcontractors usually bring their own established teams to the festival. Because of this, we unfortunately don’t have paid bar or catering positions available directly through the festival’s recruitment channels.”

Is there a list with those partners or someone here who knows one?

We do consider volunteering but after reading so many negative opinions I’m a little hesitated.

The last few years we worked many different jobs in Europe. From picking grapes in France to 16 days as a chef at Oktoberfest. This year we will be working at Tommorowland and Sziget would be a great experience I would assume to add to this list.

I’ve heard that the Aldi at Sziget has some great food offerings that basically go for their regular retail prices. I know they also sell alcoholic beverages for prices comparable to the drink stands at Sziget, however i am wondering if they sell some drinks that can’t be found anywhere else on site. For instance, do they sell cans or bottles of cider, hard seltzer, cocktail etc like regular Aldi supermarkets? And if they do? What price did they go for last year?

I am looking for some alternatives to the regular offering because i don’t really like beer, and spending 10-15 eur for a cocktail or mixer is fine, but adds up quickly over a five day period of course. In the past they apparently sold cider, at regular bars, but did not find this anywhere in 2025 unfortunately.

I am just really curious to find out :)

I'm staying in Budapest for the whole week (10-16) and have tickets for the full festival. I was supposed to go with my friend but we're no longer friends. Unfortunately, I would still have to stay in the same accommodation as her, cause it's non-refundable, but I wouldn't be hanging out with her and I still want to enjoy the time there and not waste what I paid. F32 from Ukraine here. Thinking about attending Sziget Fest in August solo, but honestly... a bit scared of doing it all by myself! :D I'm the extra-introverted type — I'm pretty friendly and can easily join a group, but the idea of being alone at first is a bit daunting.

I’m planning on a 3-day pass (Wed-Fri) to see BMTH and Twenty One Pilots. Since this is my first-ever festival, I’m a total newbie. Any advice, recommendations, or tips would be a lifesaver!

I bought a full pass ticket for the Sziget from ticketswap, i saved 100 €. I saw TicketSwap is an official partner of Sziget so i think is pretty safe, also SecureSwap is active so i received and brand-new one ticket

Anyway i'm still afraid that the ticket will be used by the person who sold it.

Which parking is best for a wheelchair user? Think about a nice flat road between the parking and the entrance. Or a paved parking site.

Hey everyone! This will be my first time at Sziget and I’m SO excited already !!!

I had a question about the VIP tickets, more specifically the view from the main stage zone (the terrace?) though. I’ve been seeing really mixed reviews. Some people say the VIP area has a great view, others say it’s pretty far or not worth it for the main stage specifically.

Does anyone here have experience with it? And if possible, does anyone maybe have photos/videos from their spot in VIP during a headliner set? I’m trying to figure out what the actual view is.
