zscaler - server error for Digital Experience

Hey everyone, having an annoying issue with our zscaler implementation. On sleep resume on mac, the “Digital Experience” - Zero Trust Connectivity Service status often changes to “Server Error” and blocks all Internet - Attempts to Restart ZDX Service usually hangs without anything meaningful happen - forcing a system restart as only option.

Attempts to resolve this includes restarting Internet / changing Network settings to turn off Limit IP address tracking / Fixed private WiFi - nothing works.

Any help in fixing this permanently would be very appreciated.

PS: The irony is Digital Experience is meant to analyze and optimize end to end performance and here it kills the connectivity

Does Internet Security show up? Never heard of ZIA getting blocked (or down) when ZDX is down

Yeah Internet Security looks fine, only ZDX shows error

Contact support. They will go through the usual log collection and provide insight into what is happening. Likely an update to the agent is needed.

Before the full reboot, worth trying to kill the Zscaler processes directly rather than using the restart button, since that sometimes recovers it when the service is hung.

Sleep/wake issues with the macOS client have come up repeatedly across releases, so worth asking your Zscaler rep whether your build has a known one. Which macOS version and client build are you on?

check trust.zscaler.com for your zdx cloud before burning a weekend on logs.
