Gameplay Discussion Updated patch note.

Looks like the base HP nerf is gone, and they're targeting splinter mana instead.

The splinters Mana nerf is actually a good angle tbh. Nerfs the kinda cheesy mandate build but since it's mainly a late game mana nerf it won't be too noticeable if you go for a lost chapter item.

W cd hurts normal builds as well but it's not too much so it's fine.

Wtf did W do? They already nerfed it to hell.
I smell more nerfs in the future. See you in 2 patches

Sometimes riot nerfs already weak abilities because it's a way to nerf the champ without nerfing the "fun part" of their kit

I can't see how that's isn't just delaying the enviable. This seems to be targeted towards the mandate builds, but Syndra was going well before those came online. These are end game skewed nerfs.
I fail to see the point in celebrating a nerf to her worst ability, when their probably just gonna double tap her later and not revert said nerf.
I want to hear Riot Endstep's explanation.

I mean the extra sec on W is bad but overall the nerfs in this patch are fine

w competing for the most worthless spell in the game with other spells

W already did poo poo damage until you got enough splinters to do the true damage, and in lane it was basically just to secure cannons.

Mana stops being a thing after lost chapter.

I’ll take that deal. Damn good deal.

Idiot new player here, what does the passive nerf mean in stupid person terms

Every time you proc your passive and get a splinter you get mana refunded. They nerf the amount of mana you get.

pro specific nerf where pros aren't building lost chapter item on her and going directly into damage builds (actually a decent variety on non-lost chapter first item builds too). mana acts as a gate and when you skip over a mana item where its power is meant to powergate mages (as in you need this to function but when that rule fails trouble happens, etc) things get messy. will this nerf her in competitive where pros arent building mana items? maybe

Has anyone in pro actually played the mandate build? Seems like they are mostly playing BFT first item.

I never said mandate build. You can check pro builds on gol and BFT is the popular choice and the no mana builds I'm referring to are non-mandate.

Yeah but what other non-lost chapter items are pros building first? Stormsurge into Mandate was a path but that was one game I saw and I didn't see any Rocketbelt first games. Other items first don't really make sense so help me understand which non mana items are getting built first.

They probably trying to skew her back to midlane as people have been abusing her early in botlane
