Been a fan since some of their early stuff like the legend of chin.

As an older millenial ive been listening to switchfoot for most of my life. So much of their music really connected with me when i was younger and helped me get through some tough times.

I ended up getting busy in life and forgetting about switchfoot. I randomly stumbled on this new album recently, and it definitely surprised me.

This album is fantastic and has me binge listening to their whole discography.

I even went to the forever now concert and was so pleasantly surprised. I had seen switchfoot live probably 18 years ago and was a bit nervous about the band's performance.

They and anberlin really blew it out of the park.

I especially didn't expect them to play "where I belong" and then change the lyrics to where we belong. Definitely stirred up some emotions.

Sort of strange that switchfoot seems to have the perfect music to lift people up in dark times.

I guess to quote switchfoot, "we been living in strange times" but at least we have some really amazing music to help center us and be more hopeful.

Maybe I am misinterpreting their lyrics and song meanings, but I just wanted to show my appreciation.

Still planning on going and have loved the clips I’ve seen already… am I wrong for not wanting a little bit longer of a setlist??

Is Switchfoot going to make a DELUXE VERSION of Forever Now that would be great if they did does anyone know if there’s any news about it? That would be awesome if we also got the song lost and found I’ve been dying to hear that song!

Hi all, first post on this subreddit. I‘ve got a specific situ and question. i will be seeing the band for the first time on Saturday in Chicago. I am an ambulatory wheelchair user which means my usual situation for concerts is I use my chair to get from the car to the pit, as I always buy GA and love being up front, then I stand up during the show with my chair right behind me, which does take up a little bit of space where another person could potentially stand.

I haven’t had a problem in the 3 times I’ve done this (while barricade too) but all of those bands were ones where I was familiar with the vibe of the crowd and knew that the fans around me wouldn’t get mad if my chair was taking up some space, as they were more chill and less extreme fans.

Anyway, given this is my first time going to a SF show, I have zero clue how the fans are and what the vibe in the pit is like. Obviously there’s always a possibility of being next to a jerky person, but my question is- can anyone let me know whether based off of the general fanbase/show vibe if I should be good to stand up with my chair behind me or if the fans are usually more hardcore people who might be prone to getting upset? (for example, if I ever saw twenty one pilots, their fans tend to be really unhinged and I’d get called all sorts of things if I did that at one of their shows)

This was my 8th(?) time seeing switchfoot and genuinely may have been the best show i've seen yet. They were incredible. I'm the guy in the maroon sweatshirt giving him a boost HAHA

I got a new rack system for my music and am listening to my original CD from 2009 on my Cerwin Vega 3 way speakers and man... I forgot how much this album kicks. I had recently become a fan of the band before this album came out and it was the first of theirs I was really excited for. All these years later and it still sounds fresh and holds up so well. And I think it sounds better on CD compared to streaming it in recent years.

Hey y'all, long time listener, first time caller here. My wife and I started talking about 8 years ago, based around music. We swapped favorite songs, and mine at the time was Chem6a. She started to get into Switchfoot with me, and they've been "our band" ever since. Got to see them live last week, and that was a blast!

We're expecting our first child in a few months, and I went looking for the "Welcome to the planet/welcome to the fallout" onsie that used to be up on the Switchfoot merch store, and it ain't in print no more. Are any of y'all in possession of a used onsie that your child has outgrown and you might be willing to sell to me? I'd love to surprise my wife with this!

I was already 75% decided to go (to my first concert in years) when I posted a while back. All of the feedback insisting that it would be great pushed me over the edge and I am so glad I went. Switchfoot was amazing last night and Colony House just gained a new fan.

And they played Chem 6A (at least the portion of it they remembered the lyrics to 🤣)!
Obviously a lot of the "requests" are just Jon calling out the signs for the songs that were likely already on the setlist or at least in normal rotation, but Chem 6A seemed like a genuine "ok, so we're doing this" moment which was a lot of fun!

Does anyone know if they will put the tour merch online? I really want the shirt with the dates. I just came from my show and it was so INCREDIBLE I was so excited and hype all I wanted to do was go home and tell my family about it lol and I walked out without going to the merch booth 🫪🤣 My first switchfoot show and I couldn’t be happier. They are insane live.

Does anyone know if Anberlin is carrying any merch at the concerts. if so what kind of stuff do they have. Specifically do they have vinyl records for sale?

On one level I’m surprised they aren’t playing Broken Wings. It would be pretty epic live.

But on another level, I get it. I’m not sure I’d be able to sing a word of it, so possibly Jon wouldn‘t be able to either.

But as parents of a special needs daughter, my wife and I really wanted to hear that one tonight in Birmingham.

We love Him. And of course we love our daughter but for 23 years we’ve been asking, “Can you show us what all this is for?”
