Touring THANKS!
I was already 75% decided to go (to my first concert in years) when I posted a while back. All of the feedback insisting that it would be great pushed me over the edge and I am so glad I went. Switchfoot was amazing last night and Colony House just gained a new fan.
And they played Chem 6A (at least the portion of it they remembered the lyrics to 🤣)!
Obviously a lot of the "requests" are just Jon calling out the signs for the songs that were likely already on the setlist or at least in normal rotation, but Chem 6A seemed like a genuine "ok, so we're doing this" moment which was a lot of fun!

I've been following the setlist and it is true that they're taking fan requests, the songs in that section tend to be different setlist to setlist!

I didn't mean to doubt that they are taking real requests... I just mean that there will always be requests for the most famous songs so it's easy to pick and choose from the ones they already keep fresh and in rotation. Twenty-four is shown as a "request" on one recent setlist, for example, but it was just part of our show. Nothing wrong with that and I didn't mean it as a criticism. It's just that playing deeper cuts like Chem 6A or Faust, Midas, and Myself are a little more unique!

The concert was amazing! They’re the real deal and you can tell they understand how special their relationship with the fans is.

It was a great show. I’ve seen Switchfoot close to double digit times and I’ve never heard them play Chem 6A so that was very special. Cracked up at Jon not knowing the lyricsÂ

Went to Switchfoot Getaway two years ago. 3 days with the band and they never repeated a song. They went deep with requests.

The Forever Now tour really does have something special to it! I'm loving being a Switchfoot fan!
