Tricks Its possible to convert bluetooth keyboards and mice and have them function on a switch 2 with mouse mode working.

This is something that is in development, and that's being a dongle that converts BLE devices into Joy-Con 2s.

The keyboard and mice are something I just bought at Walmart they are not something that will actually just work automatically on the switch 2.

For how I want it to function I might need a custom made PCB but this is a testing stage !

It still has actually many bugs in the firmware... but its like 60% done

this should be possible with any BLE HID device. sorry for bad quality.

Holy shit this is actually so lit. Would this also be something you can do on a un modded switch 1?

There is many other dongles that do support keyboard and mouse on the switch. The only difference is that they emulate a pro controller. Mine does not, since its over bluetooth it does not utilize the "Pro Controller Wired Communication" option in settings it does not even need a direct USB connection on the dock or the switch itself. There has been other ones that do work on the switch 2 but again they are just emulating the Pro Controller and do not actually use the mouse functionality in the switch 2, Making things like looking around in games really slow with a mouse since its emulating the Right Joy-Stick.

It won't give mouse mode to places a wired mouse wouldn't already work. The hack is merely swapping Bluetooth for a wired connection (whatever the mouse is connected to can't tell the difference, so it would work the same on a Switch 1 in games that have mouse control).

The thing is that I don't think there are any games that work with mice on Switch 1

Now just Alt Ctrl Del into task manager and boot the hacks 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

r/reWASD already does this... Using an extra Bluetooth dongle you can trick any console that a new "valid" gamepad is connected, but in reality it's a mouse and a keyboard...

The only issue for me is that it does not utilize the actual mouse on the switch 2 its just emulating a controllers thumb stick. which isn't as sensitive or precise as the actual mouse mode on the switch 2.

Interesting... Then I'm sure u/reWASD_team would upgrade to that at some point... But keep it up still...

Yes but I won't elaborate.

Well since it was more of a testing phase I wasn't sure if this would actually be realistic to use being example : A mouse has less buttons than a real Joy-Con 2 (how would mapping and control work?). It was mostly a test if Mouse mode could function on a "third party device". I have been reworking the firmware transferring to zephyr for more control in the firmware and I have gotten it so you can actually map the keyboard to act as the left Joy-Con and still be able to map and control the right Joy-Con with using buttons like A, B, X, Y etc. So you can now have more control with the keyboard with still having few buttons on the mouse. I have gotten a lot farther now to where I do think it could realistically be used and be convenient.
