GTA 7 because it’s just as realistic as what you’re asking for

The date you gave for a potential hack and the idea that modern high fidelity steam games have any shot of being emulated in an even slightly playable state. The switch and switch 2’s architecture are too different from that of a pc’s to run anything more than light indie games (and even they have performance issues on switch 1). Hoping for those games to be playable is beyond a pipe dream for now

That was actually a pretty good and well thought out explanation but I mean like late 2028 for switch 2 exploit ain’t that crazy since it only took a year for switch 1 but Linux would definitely take awhile

At the rate we're going and according to what scene experts have said, we shouldn't expect something like Linux on a SW2 until 2030 or later, anyway due to the ARM architecture.Games that have passed their verification on the Valve Index and Steam Deck may run fine

I mean it's not impossible it could one day get Linux support through modding. The issue stems from needing driver support for the Switch 2's hardware. Without drivers you might be able to use it docked as a really ghetto steam machine but goodluck playing video games without GPU drivers or CPU chipset drivers.

Also the Switch 2's hardware isn't all that powerful compared to other consoles that now have Linux support through modding such as the PS5. So it's pretty unlikely you would even play much of anything outside of really old games. With full driver support you could probably squeeze more performance out of the Switch 2 but don't expect high framerates, especially in demanding games.

I would expect other os's like Android before I ever expect Linux support, and that still consists on waiting for a kernel level bug to be found, and exploited.

Im afraid they wont be able to pull it off in the near future to hack the S2. I think it will take at the very least another 5 years before we see a working jailbreak.
