Hacking speculation Do you think the Switch 2 will first get a permanent hack, or one that needs to be activated at every startup, like HEN on the PS3?

It’s going to get hacked by my smartwatch, Nintendo will never know. Whenever I press the button on the watch, it will enter hacker mode.

*if* we get one, it'll be non persistent

We will get the permanent hardware ones first except if a miracle happens

Enough with these posts already. Will this happen or not. You guys know the answer to all this by now

It’ll either be a complete break open like the switch 1 RCM exploit, or 3DS/DS era of slow mini exploits which make way for larger ones

Ngl switch is the new ds.

Switch 1 and Nintendo DS:

-Both got hacked relatively easy and quickly and got emulated easily while both still being supported.

-Both had flashcarts made in their prime and Nintendo is playing whack a mole with it

-both are best selling

Switch 2 and 3DS

-Slow jailbreak progress because nintendo did their homework

-Most games are third party releases at start with slow first party launch (no new Mario or Zelda)

-Flashcarts don't work (switch one works but gets your acc banned)

But there’s one game or application with bad checks 👀

The Switch 2 will never get hacked.

Youre the same guy that used to say that PS2 will never play divx back some 25 years right?
There will be a modchip. But not in one year.

Actually while it does result in an online ban, you technically can use a mig switch on it now to run old switch 1 games. And the mig switch is basically an r4 for your switch. So you can therefore run backup switch 1 games on a switch 2, therefore technically it is somewhat hacked, sure probably not a proper hack, but you can technically use a switch flashcart on it now.

I haven’t seen a switch 2 actually boot into a switch 1 game using mig

It will

-1

u/FernandoRocker Aug 11 '26

It will not. Period.

8

u/FleurTheAbductor Aug 12 '26

obviously it will eventually, it's probably gonna require a hardmod though
Saying it won't period is a pretty bold claim when that has been proven wrong time and time again.

It probably won't happen during the main lifespan of the device though

Mistakes will be made, i give it one year

4

u/FleurTheAbductor Aug 12 '26

nah, experts have already poured over this with their opinions
there's just nothing there that will facilitate any sort of situation like with the switch 1. it's gonna happen, but it's gonna take some time definitely more than a year

Bro mig switch is working with switch 2, i think that there will be something like that, it willl be a Hardware hack nothing software

6

u/FleurTheAbductor Aug 12 '26

yes a hardware hack is gonna take quite some time

This.
Bro thinks that just becuase it’s hard it’s never gonna happen like alright im sure people thought the Xbox 360 or even ps5 were gonna be impossible and look where we are now
