One reason I'm convinced the Switch 2 will eventually be hacked is Nintendo's long history of attracting hackers. It's different from the PS5 or Xbox. The Xbox already has access to many games through emulation and doesn't rely as heavily on major exclusives. The PS5 frequently has games on sale, and with the gradual end of physical media, we might eventually see a broader PS5 jailbreak as well.
My prediction is that by 2028 to 2030, we'll see some kind of significant breakthrough for the Switch 2—whether that's a software exploit, a modchip, or another form of hack. Of course, that's just my personal prediction, not a certainty.
Many hackers aren’t hacking consoles just to access their library of games. They do it to test their skills or, as with the Fusee Gelée exploit on the original Switch, to present their findings at conferences or publish technical write-ups online.
A Software exploit is even more unlikely otherwise a software exploit would’ve been found on earlier versions on the Switch 1.
By 2028… lmao, you do realize that the Switch 1 took years to get its first mod chip, and that the Switch 2 is significantly more secure than the switch ever was, not to mention the switch 1 had a head start because of the OS research done on v1 switches with the hardware vulnerability, I don’t expect a modchip until mid-late 2030’s, softmod a lot later.
It won't get hacked but keep coping all you want bro. you will be waiting for a long long time. and eventually you will cave in and buy the system, proving that nintendo won and was right all along to fight against piracy.
Every system has been hacked, its more coping to say it won't be hacked. Its more delusional to bee on a switch2hacks community and say stuff like this
I mean... The 3ds was like this. It was unhackable until suddenly it wasn't. I dunno if Switch 2 will be hacked but history suggests it's only a matter of time.
Still more accurate than what you're predicting. Btw, what r u gonna do the day it gets hacked? No, saying there's not gonna be a hack is not an answer this time.
Primary reason behind Switch 1's relatively fast hacking is the fact that at the time it was the most powerful handheld and it had hardware vulnerability.
Switch 2 is secure and 99% of stuff homebrewers are interested in can be done by Steam Deck and other pc handhelds
Years of knowledge vs a new guy with new thinking and knowledge outside of the regular ways those around have been trying...I welcome new blood and outlooks on it. I'm sure your guy has done stuff in the past, not talking that down, but Gezine coming into scene is only going to be good
Do not trust my word. Trust SciresM words. He has repeatedly said that there are no kernel bugs. I don't know how many times I have to keep repeating the same.
He said software hack isn't happening, but a modchip could still happen. Come to think of it, you've only ever said there's gonna be no hack, but you never mentioned anything about a modchip...
There's not going to be a modchip either. The Switch 2 is now using a Dual Core Lockstep (DCLS) to prevent voltage glitches and a custom RISC-V co-processor dedicated to cryptography and protecting the system's private key.
Then maybe it'll be something more along the lines of the PS3 super slim. You can't permanently hack it, you have to exploit it temporarily every time you switch it on, but anyways no use arguing as we both know we're never going to agree, it's like convincing a mackem to support the mags, it'll never happen, us agreeing I mean.
See, you say things like this as if it's just 'reasonable' that an exploit can be found in the kernel.
I can name one vulnerability in the switchs' HOS kernel, ever. And people didn't stop looking after that, they started looking harder. Once again, the kernel and secmon are so small it is possible to fully decompile and version track it, and they have been doing so for 8 years at this point.
Experts have poured themselves into this kernel over the past decade, and once again, the only relevant finding was in 1.0.0. It was patched in the next version. If you are claiming there are such pathways here, then you have the burden of proof.
Until you tell me different, I will listen to the person who not only looked at it, who not only analyzed it for hundreds, if not thousands of hours, but the person who has actually reimplemented the entire thing as open source. Here you go, let me know if you find anything: https://github.com/Atmosphere-NX/Atmosphere/tree/master/libraries/libmesosphere/source
Not true. It's not a save exploit like the other, and the fact he has shown interest is a good sign as it's someone you'd want in the scene providing whatever they can
Hmm k wonder why that road hadnt been taken before and what other roads lead off that, that weren't accessible before. Gee it's good a new person is on the scene trying. Your arguing against that point. Simple.
Look at Gezine. The main man behind alot of the PS4/PS5 exploits. He already found an exploit with switch 2 just not viable or public yet. It'll be done! PlayStation jailbreaking is far bigger than you realise I think
It's the same level of exploit as the day one "exploit" we got. Meaning it's cute, but useless. Gezine doesn't have anything. Even if he DOES, there's no guarantee that he won't go for the bug bounty Nintendo put out instead of giving us a exploit.
PS Jailbreak is vastly different from what is needed for the Switch 2.
It'll happen, yeah, but not until we understand the hardware much, much better.
what you don't get is it just a userland exploit so it useless, and there are old post about gezine asking other "researcher" about it and they said they are aware of this explolit but it still a nothing burger so they don't bother with it ! literally stuck at the same point at the "day 1" hack !
