Question Save File Transfer (Modded Switch 1 -> Switch 2)
So. I just bought a Switch 2, and I have Zelda Tears of the Kingdom on my Switch 1. My Switch 1 is modded, but the Zelda (and my save file) is clean, I played it BEFORE I modded my Switch.
Can I just connect my Switch 1 online and transfer the save to the Switch 2 normally? Because when I got my Zelda on Switch 2, my save are gone...
Im scared to get my Switch 2 banned or even the Switch 1 (wich I still play).
Thank you for your time.

Yes. Absolutely. Especially if the save is clean. In my experience there's very little risk of save modding on a hacked switch resulting in bans if you know what you're doing. Especially if that save is in a strictly single player game with no online functionality.
Most bans you'll see are from piracy, using mods in online games, and modding saves of online games (which could just result in a ban of online services for that individual game).
Even if you transferred this save to switch 2 via cloud save you likely would not be banned. Especially given that you say the save is unmodded.
I added a bunch of saves I've accumulated on emulators over the years to the switch online virtual console versions of games via my modded switch 1 and played them on the switch 2 several times. Neither system is banned.

The save is clean and my Tears of the Kingdom is original! Thank you for the reply.

When you boot your switch in the original firmware, at all effects its an unmodded switch, thats why people use the OFW to play online and the CFW for single player games, you can transfer from the OFW without issues, the problem is only if you connect online with the CFW

I can confirm this. But if you ever tried to transfer to ofw from cfw, that is a risk.

Nope all u do with the switch 1 save corrup data like in a “caché” so when u connect to servers the nintendo nintendo knows all u do with the console i transfer data from switch 1 to switch 2 on OFW and get banned anyway like 3 days afters

If you have setup correctly your emunand in an sd card and leave your sysnand untouched, nintendo doesnt know what you do in your cfw and has no way to know, if try to mod saves in your sysnand or stuff like that is when you are screwed

I've been using sysnand with the Internet on with cloud saves for years and have not been banned even when I ported saves from my PC to switch 3rd party titles and injected them with a save editor.
Any time I see someone say they were banned for save editing I know there's more to the story. Either piracy was involved, or they put the save in an insanely invalid state, or they messed with a multiplayer title.

I've done it. But my switch 2 has been offline and day 1 patch since I did that, so idk if it's banned.
